All these fantastic actors. Is this movie supposed to be any good?

Eh, its Louis Letterier. Take it or leave it.

This feels like the younger cousin of the Prestige.

I think it looks like a lot of flashy fun, I just hope there is no sci fi twist.

I saw a GIF set comparing scenes of the two a while back. It was awesome. :awesome:

Found it!

Looks great! I told you before: it's similar to Wanted.

Opening sequence.

They're magicians, not superheroes and this whole movie looks ridiculous in a bad way

Saw this last night. Awesome movie. Not as good as The Prestige, but still awesome. Really stretches suspension of disbelief, as it flirts with implying that real magic does exist, but doesn't really even go that far. It's just that some of the tricks and visuals rely so heavily on CGI that it can be alarming in some instances. However, the visuals are pretty stunning. The cast was top notch in the film, and Mark Ruffalo does a great job of anchoring everything. Mélanie Laurent was great as well. Given the names with whom she had to share her scenes, it was remarkable that my attention just gravitated toward her constantly. And of course, watching Michael Cain and Morgan Freeman butt heads was a pure delight.

The movie builds toward a revelation in the end, but I won't discuss it until next week when others have had a chance to see it. Feel free to ask me questions about the rest of the movie, and I'll do my best to answer without spoiling. I'll probably not be back on here until close to lunchtime (about 7 hours from now).

I think this looks like a pretty fun movie, and I like the cast. I hope it turns out good.

Saw this. While I agree with the critics that the ending wasn't that epic, but still I think it's an unique movie, on a subject that is rarely touched in movies - Magic tricks.

And, magic tricks is fun to watch!

been seeing the commercial since lastweek...it looks cool

My sis and I, along with three other people, walked out of the movie. Before I walked out I thought it had an awful score, it was poorly written, terribly directed, atrociously edited and extremely dull. Even the actors weren't allowed to be good because none of them had characters to play. Fisher is especially terrible.

I wish we would have walked out sooner and saw Furious 6 or Into Darkness again. So yeah, I don't have a rating because I didn't stick around.
