While I expected J.K. Rowling's Cormoran Strike series to be adapted as a hard R-rated film franchise, the author has decided to take it to the small screen instead. She'll be producing the series through her Bronte Film and TV production company, which will air on BBC One in the UK. She'll be collaborating on the adaptations (it doesn't specify whether she'll write any episodes), but the episode length and count haven't been finalized.

There's no tell which network here in the U.S. will air it, but I wager BBC America would have first dibs. Maybe even HBO.
