Joe Bob Briggs & TNT MonsterVision Anyone???

I thought he was great. I loved how he used to read letters from guys in prison, he was just so laid back and cool.

"now let's get back to bikini car wash 2 on usa UP...all night."

...

I loved" surf nazi's must die", "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama" and my favorite of all time...."reform school girls":woot:

AMC kinda has had the ringer on horror classics now. them and TCM which I always confuse!

although one has commercial breaks every 2 1/2 minutes :down, and the other is unedited/commercial free!

Yay, Monstervision!!!

I always love TV this time of year.

We need JBB back, and MonsterVision back! :( But the thing about it that made them so cool was that they were pretty cutting edge. I mean, Joe Bob was giving us "inside information" before DVD extras were open to the public! And his adlibbing/wisecracking ways? You can't really get away with that now. Not without it feeling and being too scripted! (Thank you, reality TV producers :down)...

:csad:

Hay, it's Halloween season! Let's get-it-the-hell-up for Joe Bob Briggs and TNT Monstervision! :cmad:

That's true. I suppose one could find some commentaries on Horror films via Laserdisc before the age of DVD really took shape, but otherwise Joe Bob was our man when it came to behind the scenes and inside info that the average joe might not have been aware of when it came to horror films.

Which, along with his ablibbing, made him extremely entertaining to watch!

Yeah, and sometimes I would just time record the show on the old VCR, and find myself fast forwarding thru the film itself, just to watch the Joe Bob segments. Especially if it was one I had previously seen numerous times. I would still want to hear Joe Bob's comments on the film itself. Which were often humorous as well as informative.

And I also loved the jokes told at the very end. Good times.

Yeah, I did that a couple of times too. But it was never as rewarding as having to sit through the commercial breaks & movie live. :csad:

Joe Bob Briggs is the MAN! Loved watching this guy pick apart movies.
