If the movie resembles anything like on the first pic, it'd look amazing.

That concept art looks great though I would like to see an image from the film instead. However, as the trailer is coming out next month, this will suffice for now. :yay:

Damn, now it's TDKR, Hugo Cabret AND John Carter attached to HP?! I have conflicting feelings: I don't really want July 15th to get here soon as I'm not ready ~emotionally~ for the end of HP, but I want to see those trailers ASAP. July is just gonna be epic.

Damn I'd forgotten about this movie. I look forward to the trailer with Potter. And I'm in the same boat as you flickchick rergarding the HP franchise ending, but damn I cant wait to see that hogwarts battle!

Well I am getting dragged to see Harry Potter anyhow so maybe it will improve the experience for me having this trailer attached. :D

Digging the poster alot. Not sure why they left the M on it though...
Let the promotion begin!:woot:

No idea. There are these large flying warships, that if I recall are more a floating platform, it's been awhile since I've read the books, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ohhhh! I thought it was some sort of giant scorpion. :O

The Barsoomians had some massive flying ships. I read the series in the mid 70's....so I'm getting vague on some specifics (like what powered the ships) but remember some epic air battles in the different books.

Mark Strong recently did an interview on the title change
Interestingly, John Carter’s had its titled changed. And there seems to be some kind of confusion as to why this should be, and I think the reason is brilliant. The reason is that he has to earn that title. Again, it’s a franchise or a number of books; a series of books that people may or may not know, but if you call him John Carter of Mars, I think at the very beginning, all the work’s been done and what Andrew wants to do, I think, is introduce people to this first film, and by the end of it, he becomes John Carter of Mars, but not at the beginning. In the beginning he’s John Carter, but by the end of the first film, he’s John Carter of Mars; so he’s earned that title to take it off should it want to go to further storytelling.

should Batman Begins be Bruce Wayne since he starts as the real batman during the last minutes?
and mr Strong i have 100 examples right now ready to throw Disney in the face.

^bad example since bruce wayne is never in the title to begin with better example would be Lawrence of Arabia being called Lawrence

Those shots look pretty good. It looks like they've taken care of the product. I hope the movie pleases!

You missed his point completely. Anywhoo, those images look pretty interesting. Can't wait to see more.

I get what Strong is saying in that it leaves the sequel open to be called John Carter of Mars. I don't agree with that reasoning, but I get what he's saying.

I understand as well.
