I always see lots of praise for junior on this forum, so certainly a few of you picked this up this week...?

It's basically just a celebration of John's three decades in the business, with a beautiful wrap-around cover, a "Forward" by his old man, interviews and commentaries by him and his contemporaries, and nice sketches and samples of his artwork...

If you're a fan of his work on Spidey (or Iron Man, X-Men, Punisher, Daredevil, Hulk, etc.,), then it's definitely worth a look.

Looking foward to this since Ring a ding is my fav!

I picked it up. I looked. I put it back. Not really a fan an' after seein' it was nuttin' but JRJR grabassin' decided it wasn't worth no $4. 20% off or not.

Ahhhhhh, JR JR? Not that bothered bout this thought it was his dad.

I picked it up this morning, and it was well worth the £2.85 in my opinion. I've been a big fan of John Romita Jr. for some years now (I've been told my Spider-man drawings seem greatly influenced by him apparently, though I think mine look absolutely s**t in comparison) so it's great to see recognition for his 30 years in the industry. There are some wonderful sketches included too.

BTW, thanks for the heads up CaptainStacy, I probably wouldn't have looked for it at my local comic book store if you hadn't started this thread.

Great! Glad you enjoyed it.

Aloha,
I was watching a tv show on The Discovery Channel featuring Marvel Super Heros in NY. They gave a lot of air time to the Romita's Sr and Jr.
That you have a father and son that have done so much work on any one comic book character is really great. That the character is Spidey is even greater. They even showed some comparative scenes from father and son.I thought that Hanna was the best inker for JRjr's work. Thanks for the head up Capt.
Spidey rules

JRJr remains my fave spidey artist.

He's the artist i grew up with.

I love his current style and i desperately want him back, drawing Spidey.

John Romita Jr. is my favourite Spider-man artist as well. As much as I like Ron Garney's art in Amazing Spider-man at the moment, I really look forward to John Jr. returning to the title.

I bought it, read all of it...

If anyone here knows me here from tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime ago I've always had a funny thing with JRJr... His Paps was heavy, I used to love his suff, until half way through the JMS run, he just got lazy, (and then everyone at Marvel told him.)

Dunno though, the book made me feek nostalic, and I'm not really like that, so that's a good sign...

basically, if ur a newbie, U HAVE TO OWN THIS, if not, u won't miss anything you don't already own
