Johnny Quest: The Movie. Cast?

I doubt they'd do something that stupid.
Your right, they'll just cast Vanessa Hudgens instead. :o
I do not want Jonny Quest giving me jazz hands. That **** is crossing the line.
Combine that with Hadji doing this...

and we got ourselves a regular musical here.

he's too old for Johnny Quest. What...they can't do a action movie with kids anymore....doesn't anyone remember the Goonies

It makes sense not to use child actors. That way, they're not so limited for work hours and don't need a tutor on set. It's less complicated all around. Plus, it'd be more believable fight scenes... not that seeing Zac Efron beating anyone up in a fight is all that believable in the first place, but you get the point.

Well, they cast Efron... so...
Efron is an alright choice considering it's most likely going to be the New Adventures take instead of the classic take.

That's more likely than Cyrus, but still doubtful.

Hahahaha Credits scene maybe? :oldrazz:

Yeah, that's how I would have preferred, but it's clear they're not going that route.

kids are tough to work with because they can only work so many hours and you have to have a tutor on set and also pay extra insurance.....this thing might not ever get off the ground

Is Dwayne Johnson still going to be in this movie? Or am I thinking of the wrong movie?

I think he's said he's definitely interested if production moves forward....Im having issues seeing him in the red shirt and chinos

true...honestly I think the world could use something like a Jonny Quest right now, be it a movie or another animated series

I think after the let down of so many old franchises, especially the Mummy, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, we all need a genuinely great adventure.

There is nothing wrong with producing a cinematic animated film along as there is story that is stronger that what you would find identical to the TV series. Too many studios believe that every action, adventure cartoon series needs to have a live adaptation.

If Time Warner allows another animated series, I would rather it never happen in this current market because it will simply become like the current Transformers series that appeals to tweens only. The Real Adventures needs to be restored. The lost potential of this show needs to be replenished before they move on to anything.

well the original series was marketed to kids, it just developed a cult following

I'd like to see a live action film, then a new animated series back on CN or something, kinda like with Ironman and Speedracer, but in the traditional JQ fashion or course

I'd have no problem with Efron (must go blonde, like Fred Prince in Scoobs) and Johnson as Johnny and Race, or even Patel or Panabaker (must go redheaded) in their respective roles, as long as they weren't cheesy... as long as they're (the younger cast of course) able to transfer well into action stars, kinda like Willl Smith or Shia Labeouf's turn around from goofy teen sitcom stars to full-fledged action stars

I'm not a photographer (though I do dabble in it) but that's not a flattering picture of Rajiv. I kinda get the idea, but it looks more like a mugshot than a head shot.

Johnny Quest hasn't been a name in over 30 years, I don't understand who keeps pushing this property...

Yeah, but if they do it right, it could like a fun Amblin Indiana Jones-type movie. If I directed it, then it would stuff it was 80s magic.

The casting of Efron is like them going the Scooby-Doo route and casting Freddie Prinze as Fred. One of those ****ing Sprouse twins looks more like Jonny.

but that would make no sense as it was originally conceived in the 60's and had a one season run in the 80's

I agree. They probably will make it super modern with pop culture jokes.

If I had my way, I would wanna make Jonny Quest like..Lupin III. and if jackson and speilberg gets it right, Tin Tin. Something timeless. It doesn't have to be from the modern world either.

I guess what I meant in tone, because I feel like many of the 80s family adventure movies just felt magical.

I think Efron could work as Johnny if he went blonde, I think this could be his Transformers if he took the role seriously...

I agree on the twins, if they wanted to go younger, I thought I was the only one who thought they looked like Johnny... I saw an ep where they had some Indian kid on their show who could play Hadji... I think he was about their age....

Warner Bros. simply will make this film into a disaster like Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen or Speed Racer. Never has there been a successful adaption of a classic cartoon into live action, it won't happen now either. It may make money, but if you read the script, it won't make sense. DO NOT MAKE THIS MOVIE!!

Bingo! Though, only if a good creative team is behind it. There are just too many ****** cartoons these days.

well in most studios eyes obscene amounts of money = success...and Transformers (quality aside) made an assload of money, like drug cartel money
