Daredevil Jon Bernthal IS Frank Castle / The Punisher!

The point is he looks completely shady and conspicuous. He would be getting a non-random pat down.

Yeah he looks shady but the white skull would probably be the thing that make people suspect him as psychotic.

Any grizzled slightly deranged former war vet is going to look a little off to civilians and Jon seems to be channeling that pretty well.

That he uses the skull of his kid? I like the idea but it might not end up looking very good.

It would be all about the execution of it. It could look bad, it could look good. Like everything, I guess.

Marvel tends to make the more tactical-looking suits look good anyway, so I'm not really worried.

Why is everyone assuming he'll have a tac suit? In the technically 3 live-action versions of Frank we've had on film, only 1 War Zone, where he had some sort of armor tac suit.

In the comics in some versions he has one and in others most notable the MAX run he's pretty basically dressed with some sort of jacket and Punisher T.

From the released images the only thing to distinguish his look from the Max run is the lack of skull shirt.

Just a guess.

And Jane wore a tactical vest at the end of Punisher 04 ;)

Just have Bernthal bare-chested, with a skull shaved into his chest hair.

With his shaved head I can't stop looking at those giant ears lol.

Holy poop! I didn't notice the Punisher skull on the poster.

I just hope the skull is spray painted on. I love the drippy look of that.

The idea that the inspiration for the skull insignia comes from either his wife or one of his kids is dark, tragic and brilliant. I totally would support that idea.

if they use the 2004 skull I might shed a tear of happiness, still my favorite design to this day.

The 2004 skull was really the best live action one they've done. Shame War Zone underutilized the skull motif so much. In such a cartoony film I don't know why they felt the skull would be too much.

it looks great as a tattoo, on a shirt, anything really. I'm getting tattooed on me later on this year and of all the Punisher tattoos ive seen, the 04 skull always stands as as the "coolest" one...I really do hope they use it, the War Zone skull wasn't too bad and it was lame that it was so subtle.

2004 skull - that the one that incorporated some sort of gun trigger?

Punisher Spinoff Starring Jon Bernthal in Development at Netflix
Netflix is thisclose to pulling the trigger on The Punisher, a new Marvel spinoff series centered on Jon Bernthal’s gun-toting Daredevil vigilante (aka Frank Castle), TVLine has learned exclusively.

Viewers will get their first look at Bernthal’s Punisher when Daredevil ‘s second season drops on Friday, March 18, but the early buzz on the Walking Dead alum’s performance is overwhelmingly positive.

“Viewers watching the show will be rooting for this guy with a gun but we’re also going to force people to second-guess themselves,” previewed exec producer Doug Petrie in a recent interview with EW.com. “Taking lethal justice into your own hands in America in 2015 is tricky s–t.”

For those keeping track at home, this would mark Netflix’s sixth Marvel series, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, the upcoming Luke Cage, and the in-the-works Iron Fist and The Defenders.

Reps for Netflix and Marvel declined comment.

I've never cared for the Punisher in any form, so I'm hoping Marvel can work their magic and change that.

I figured it was only a matter of time before they announced the Punisher getting his own series. I'm down.
