Why not post it in HD, indeed?

I hear you all loud and clear. You want to see the footage that we brought to SDCC. Why not post it in HD instead of having everyone download a grainy bootleg? I agree. I am trying to get a version out to you ASAP. This is a big movie, however, and it takes time to get the proper approvals from all parties involved.

I am happy to report that both Marvel and Paramount have agreed to get a version of the footage out to you very soon. I will report the specifics when I get them. Thanks for your enthusiasm and patience.

hope so, All the links above aren't working and I haven't seen the footage yet.

Thats great news, I watched the other footage about 9 times and would love to see a clean, hi res version. I would also love to know when they are planning a actual movie trailer.

Gotta give it to Jon, he's a very fan-friendly director. Looking forward to see this footage in HD.

I'd been curious if they needed to purchase the rights to the Sabbath and ACDC to show a simple fan trailer at SDCC. Guessing at the very least Sabbath would be played in the official trailer, but that seemed inevitable.

I'll bet that was what was the hold up.

Whatever, I already got it saved to my computer but it will be cool to see it in better quality.

Man Jon u are an absolute badass. Thank you for knowing how to treat us fans right.

BTW, again, stop calling it a "trailer", that was a special footage made especially for ComiCon, which hasn´t and won´t be released in theaters or TV. Just to avoid confusion. When I saw the title thread, I thought it was about an actual trailer to be released in theaters.

"a special footage made especially for ComiCon, which hasn´t and won´t be released in theaters or TV" simply wouldn't have fit in the title thread. Sorry for putting sand in your vag.

Awesome! Too bad WB and Chris Nolan aren't as gracious to their fanbase.

"Jon says Comicon footage will be on HD soon", that would have been the title.

Jon has really handled the interaction with the fans amazingly well, and continues to do so with this statement. What a cool guy.

And of course... I am excited about the prospect of seeing the footage in HD.

i hope "very soon" means within a week. but cool news, anyways. :yay:

This man is . Seriously. I wish we got more directors like this helming superhero films.

Respect for Jon Favreau, seriously. I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight as much as anyone, but Nolan's super-secretive attitude about this is nothing short of annoying.

And the funny thing is, we probably know less about Iron Man than we do about TDK. For all Nolan's hard work, stuff gets out anyways. Might as well accept that you cant keep it a secret, and open up to the fans.

Nothing is cooler than the director of a big budget comic book movie actually opening up a MySpace group and regularly posting and talking with fans.

well think of it this way, they want everyone to walk into the theater not knowing what to expect. look at The Prestige, nobody knew what was gonna happen even after we saw all the trailers.
