"Journey into the night" is a short film that I've directed in my senior year of high school. It's in hebrew, as I'm still working on adding english sub-titles. The best I can do is provide a transcript of the dialouge in english.

Marlowe: I never should have gone to that meeting.
What a damned night. And what do I have left? An empty pocket, and a broken heart to beat.
That very night, a call was placed to me from Jack Rosenblum, the millionaire. One of the most connected, and powerful men in town. He didn't specify on the phone, he just said he wants me to investigate a murder.
Rosenblum: Now we can finally speak openly. Nancy, I need you to wait for me outside. I hired you to solve a murder case.
Marlowe: Yeah, that's what you told me on the phone, Mr. Rosenblum, but I thought you said there was something special about this case.
Rosenblum: It's damned special, alright. It hasn't been committed yet, but it's going to happen tonight.
Marlowe: And what about the victim?
Rosenblum: You are sitting in front of him.
Marlowe: Let me get this clear, Mr. Rosenblum. You said the murder is going to happen tonight?
Rosenblum: Yes, it's happening tonight. Which means you can't afford to be wasting anymore time, I'm paying you by the hour, Marlowe.
Marlowe: Wait a minute! Where do you think you're going?
Rosenblum: Listen, Marlowe, it might be the last night of my life. I intend to enjoy every minute of it. If you get the job done, meet me here before sunrise.
The Undertaker: Room Service.
Nancy: Looks like fate isn't smiling to either of us anymore. I'm sorry, he's always like that when he's under stress.
Marlowe: It looks like you've certainly done well for yourself since I last saw you. But I must say, I don't paticulary care for your choice of company.
Nancy: Well, it certainly looks to me like you did, tonight. I find it interesting.
Marlowe: (V.O) The last time I met Nancy, she was barely 18. It was when I still thought I had a future in the police department. I never thought I'd see her again, especially not with a man like Rosenblum. Nancy told me that one of Rosenblum's business associates, a man named Meir Alterman, was murdered during our meeting. I sure hope that I can get her out of this life for good.

Marlowe: Nancy, you need to stay here. If anything happens, contact me, and I'll get here as soon as I can.
Nancy: I don't understand. Where are you going?
Marlowe: To meet the only source I have left. Nobody knows these streets better than he does.
This night… is going to be a lot longer than I thought.

Marlowe: I'm guessing that someone with connections like yours, already heard about Meir Alteraman's murder.
Hershko: Connected or not, I'm risking my sources by just talking to you, and you've already shown me you're not worth the damn risk!

Marlowe: I have no time for your games tonight, Herskhko! Someone put out a hit on my client, Rosenblum. He and Alterman were partners, and the hit was carried out by a professional!
Hershko: You're ruining my suit, and it costs more than you can ever make. I might have heard something, but you'll me on this one. There's a word on the streets Alterman's hit was carried out by The Undertaker.
Marlowe: The Undertaker?
Hershko: That's what they call him. He's a hired gun, one of the best. But he's a mad dog. You don't want to see him off the leash.

Marlowe: I gave Rosenblum my word. How did I end up in this mess?
Herskho: There's also a word out that Rosenblum's connected to a casino called "Lucky of the draw". But I want to ask you something, Marlowe. Are you really willing to die for a man like Jack Rosenblum?

Marlowe: The Undertaken. It ain't the first time I've heard his name. Word is when criminals in this town have their annual meetings, and exchange horror stories, they always involve The Underaken. They say he's gone soft over the years, but I've seen what he's left of Meir Alterman, and I seriously doubt that.

Marlowe: Can I help you fellas?

Guard: You could start by telling us what you're doing here.

Nancy: I'm sorry, they just- overreacted.
Marlowe: It's about damned time you stop apologizing for other people! Be responsible for your life, for once!
Nancy: You don't understand, No one else was supposed to get hurt. Especially not you.

Marlowe: And what the hell is that supposed to mean?
Nancy: You don't know the truth about Rosenblum… You don't know what he's done to others… what he's done to me…
Marlowe: But I already knew. Even in the dark, I could still see the scars on the back of her hand. When I saw them, I remembered how we fist met, on the streets. I remembered that I promised to find a safe place for her, promised to protect her, even from herself. When she hit me with those words, I realized I failed her.
The Undertaker: I see that you're really having a hell of a night.
Marlowe: I'm definitely not making strides.
The Underaker: You know, most people look at my work as cruel, brutal and sadistic. But when I look at it, I think of it as art.
Marlowe: I guess we have a different taste in art.
The Underaker: Well, now that we're both sitting here-
Nancy: Take Out Ronseblum!
The Undetaker: You have nothing to worry about. I'll get it done tonight. I already scheduled a flight for tomorrow.
Nancy: Remember, the money will be wired to your account only after the job is done, like we agreed.

Marlowe: So many bodies have piled up tonight. So much blood was spilled. When I stood in front of The Underaker, who I felt such a strong need to prove wasn't just some boogeyman hiding under a kid's bed, and aimed my gun at him, I remembered what Hershko asked me when the night had just started. I remember how the light shined on Nancy's scars in the dark.
And then I realized, it was all done for the greater good.

Marlowe: Yeah? I see. Alright then, I'll be there in about an hour.
