And you know what really burns me about JPIII and the T-Rex? When he/she pops up from that carcass, it instantly feels like a JP movie.....for all of 20 seconds.

I mean literally, the movie goes from feeling weak, rushed, pointless and lame to feeling instantly like a JP movie when that head pops up...then it dies in a BS way 25 second later.

URGH!!!

I used to think that fight was cool when JPIII first came out, now I can't even watch it. I hope the T-Rex is the showcased dino again in JW.

Oh, ok. T-Rex is still the king though! I hope this new dino is good and worthy. I'm watching Nostalgia Critic's review on Jurassic Park 3 and he mentions Grant and Sattler breaking up and her having a husband and a kid. Did anyone else hate this? It would have brought a huge smile on my face if after the growth in jurassic park 1 it would have led to that the next one we saw them in.

What did people think of the Spinosaurus? The T Rex is classic but I'd have liked to see some other carnosaurs too in the earlier films, even the slightly smaller ones (we did in very short scenes).

I think Spinosaurus would have been a great dinosaur, if handled better (not by Joe Johnson or anyone involved iwth JP3).

Probably yeah. T Rex & raptors will always be the no.1 combo but I want to see more from other dinos and extinct animals. Maybe a couple of sabre-tothed tigers and terror birds could freshen things up.

They already used a Triceratops but they could easily use another Ceratopsidae.

It was a bitter dissapointment. As you mention, Grant grew up as a character, being a paternal figure for Lex and Tim, basically finally coinciding with Ellie's view. And JPIII throw it away. It was poignant, yes. But not something that I wanted to happen. Basically, it was required for Grant to go back to the island.

Well, it did introduce/popularize the world to the Spinosaurus (kinda like how "raptor" became popular after Jurassic Park).

Now we've got a robot Spinosaurus in a Transformers movie.

So much funnnnnn. I wish I still had it because I do still have my ps2. Used copies on amazon going for as cheap as like $60. New copies are being sold for like $300 wtf. Really thinking of grabbing the game again though, it was a lot of fun.

Virtually 95% of JP1 takes place in the daytime

I like daytime scenes so you can see the dinos properly, and also so you can see the vegetation and general environment. Cool to throw in a few night time scenes though.

There used to be a few old gaming shops by me that sold all older games. They're no more though.

Try retro gaming stores online. Sometimes they have hidden gems.
