I think it is white because it is in a state of non-camouflage. It won't be like a Predator, and be invisible, but it will blend like a cuttlefish. In a recent leaked trailer description, they mention a Raptor attacking a larger animal with a translucent skin/film over its body, and 'm figuring that is what is represented here.

That said, apparently some sources over at the JPLegacy boards are saying it is now referred to as the I.Rex, or the Indomitus Rex.

While I am all kinds of excited for the D-Rex, that was more about SPIDEY's response.

I guess that helps further show it's "uniqueness" compared to the other species....I'm loving the large and fully grasp hands, he's already got a leg on the poor old T-Rex

The D-Rex looks good. I like the concept behind it. Humans playing God and tampering with science to make things which shouldn't exist.
