Jurassic World - Part 4

Still think the trained Raptors is a ridiculous concept but I'm warming up to the idea of D. Rex.

The Mosasaurus scene looks awesome though.

Trailer was bad, this movie looks bad

wow this is gonna bomb, The intro to (1991) Land of the lost was more exciting this Jurassic W.

I was skeptical at first of the thought of Pratt training raptors since birth but that shot has won me over. This looks great and most definitely better then jp3.

Pretty sure that would also breach the NDA they signed, which Malcolm already breached, and with people being sue-heavy nowadays... :o

Alan Grant's probably a crazy long haired/bearded hermit now. That would be fun to see.

At least Malcolm is known for breaching the NDAs already

To those saying its a retread of the others, why would they do it...well, that's the whole point of Life Finds A Way. Not just for the Dinosaurs, but Humans too.

Besides, we all know history has a 110% chance of repeating itself, and does in real life.

Exactly.

That's cute, awesome 10th post! :woot:

Part of the greatness of the first film was that it was the first time we were seeing dinosaurs on the big screen that looked life-like, the sense of awe made the movie. After two average in the franchise itself and countless other cg-dinosaur attack films, I don't think this was necessary but the trailer looked decent, should be good for a matinee price.

Wait did the family just send their kids to Jurassic World alone???
I wouldn't send my kids alone to Disney World and there's less chance of Mickey freaking out and killing anyone.

Love the trailer

That last scene with the raptors gave me chills. Still slightly skeptical about the D-Rex and overall look of the film.

Love the trailer

they could likely be related to someone who they were flying out to go to JW with... they could also likely be related to one of the workers at the park

You really think if something like this happened in real life back in '93, right now in 2014 some investor or something wouldn't be like, "you know, they didn't know what they were doing back then, but we have the technology and the smarts to do it better."

Call me a cynic but I think so, yes.

Woah. That was an awful trailer. Hopefully the movie is better.

The trailer is good, IMO. It's not mind blowing or anything but they now have my attention where as before they didn't.

That trailer redefines "underwhelming." Lots of other movies to look forward to.

I think I can now tell who the likely winner will be in this weekend's trailer war.

Not sure about chills, but I liked it.

Kudos to the the new director and production staff for playing into the nostalgia of the original while doing something new! I would much rather be sold tamed raptors (I mean, plenty of fierce animals nowadays can easily be tamed) than to see another tired re-tread.

Originality from Jurassic World:

- Working Park
- Hybrid Dinosaur
- Water Dino
- Futuristic transportation
- Tamed raptors
- New characters

And that's just from the first trailer. Jurassic World looks to be anything but unoriginal or a re-tread when compared to JP3 and certainly other sequels.

Don't forget the original Gwen Stacey.

She is not part of the MCU so she does not count
Wasn't necessarily limiting it to just the MCU ;)

I went through the 'main page' cast list on IMDb (as opposed to going into the full cast and crew list) and came up with the following (regardless of whether or not the Marvel character is a character from the comics or one they created for the film(s)):

MCU:
Chris Pratt (Star Lord - GotG)
Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk - Daredevil series)
Ty Simpkins (Harley - Iron Man 3)
Judy Greer (IMDb has her listed as being in Ant-Man - whether that's true or not I don't know)
Brian Tee (episode of Agents of SHIELD)

Outside MCU but still in the "Marvel family" (i.e. films made by other studios)
Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3)
Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past)
Irrfan Khan (The Amazing Spider-Man)
Brian Tee (again, this time for The Wolverine)

Yay for Marvel alumni!!!! :funny:
