Jurassic World - Part 5

The SB spot was incredible! I was already really looking forward to the movie but it took my excitement up a few more notches.

I thought the way they built up the foreboding threat of the man-made I-Rex was great, the glimpses in the trailer making it look pretty terrifying.

I also liked the shot of Pratt working with 3 Raptors and the Pteranodon's swooping oin on the park visitors who were fleeing, oh and the Dino eating the Great White is still an amazing visual!

Yes yes, yes yes and yes. :woot:

I estimate my JP film ranking will be:

Jurassic Park
Jurassic World
The Lost World
Jurassic Park III

This is totally how I'm seeing my ranking of the films going as well. Fully agree! :word:

I think I am one of the few that liked 3 more then 2 lol but if Jurassic world is even close to Jurassic park I will be quite happy. Same thing with star wars 7 if it is even close to star wars 4-6 I will be happy but I don't fell much hope for star wars right now and Jurassic world I do fell confident in right now. I just relize something I didn't before that this is the second Jurassic movie with the word world in it lol.

Well we're not seeing enough of Star Wars to say much, but with JW I agree. Same thing with Star Wars. We'll be happy if they're closer to the original incarnation(s).

Yeah its just I cant get over how bad star wars 1 and 2 where so that makes me think that it will suck. Now star wars 3 I thought was really good. Now with Jurassic park while the first one is the best 2 and 3 are a lot better then star wars 1 and 2 lol.

The tv spot is awesome but every time I see the shot of the Mosa jumping out of the water, something about it bugs me. It looks great but something in the cgi seems bad or way off.

I think it's the gums and tongue

All of the dinosaurs seem to have a bit of blue coloring in their skin. Its kind of weird.

why would it kill for fun?

i like that the movie will have some body count and they will show it. no PG rated BS to sell it to 5 year old kids.

I'm avoiding trailers. In a glorified B-movie about dinosaurs killing people, I'd rather not spoil seeing the dinosaurs and how they kill people.

But...trained raptors?!

The idea is training Raptors like they can train hunting dogs (or wolves)....as Raptors are fairly intelligent dinos who could be trained to obey some basic orders.

The main point is they are "trained" not "tamed", which means that they are still wild unpredictable animals.

I feel that they have made it too big.

I feel that they have made it too big.
it definitely is. On their website they say its 18m (i believe, it was a few days ago i looked) but that thing is way bigger. I doubt thats a full grown great white, but i think i read they are around 5m

I feel out of the loop but..is that a hand gesture he is making towards the raptor or has someone played with it? Something looks off..

It's a fake manip, if you look closely, Pratt gives the Raptor a fist bump.

I think when it gets closer, they're just gonna go all Godzilla out on the I-Rex and just show the thing. The T-Rex we may see in the next trailer. But I have a feeling it's going to be very mysterious as to the circumstances we'll see her in.

This may already have been speculated, but I think that the T-Rex still exists within the old side of the island of Nublar where the first park was and has been surviving there. A place people overlooked or just neglected where the T-Rex has just been hiding all this time and has survived. And I think in the third act, Pratt, Howard and perhaps the kids get to that part of the island, a place that is completely unfamiliar to them, but familiar to us, and it becomes a battle of old vs new with the T-Rex squaring off against the I-Rex. It'll be the ultimate battle we always wanted, and it will more than make up for JP3 meaning that this time the T-Rex wins.

But I won't try to get my hopes up with this. I'm open to anything good.

i dont think it will happen that way although i do agree the final battle will be trex vs i rex. remember the jurassic park website shows the original rex from the first film in the actual park and has its own show.

so it being out in the old section of the park cant happen.............unless all mayhem errupts and she makes it out of the park.

why would it kill for fun?

Presumably because it's intelligent.

Look at it this way, cats, the kind that people have as pets, have been known to wipe out indigenous bird populations in some areas, and these cats are well fed house pets. They kill for fun.

If the iRex is even half as smart as Velociraptors have been portrayed as in this series thus far, it's smarter than a housecat.

I dont understand why people are so hung up about trained raptors from birth. Heck killer whales are trained and even sometimes theynturn on there handlers, same with animals in zoos with attacks we see on youtube. Wild dangerous intelligent animals can be trained but stll deadly at any moment for humans.
