Jurassic World - Part 6

I can't wait to see the Rex again in all its glory in JW

Also curious how many Rexes are in the T-Rex Kingdom. If it's just the one from the original film or if they've added some friends for her to chill with hahaha.

Just to clarify, does Isla Sorna still exist as a nature preserve at the time of JW? Or have they shifted the animal population back to Nublar? if so then there'd be three or more Rexes in combination with the original female on Nublar.

I love that they're hiding her from the trailers/spots so far. It's awesome.

One of my buddies (who doesn't read online about films, etc.) said after the SB spot, "WHERE THE HELL IS THE T-REX?!?!?!" Haha.

She's coming, my friend... And I'm going to turn into a 6-year-old again when she roars.

I believe the'ers just the one from the first movie, who's going to wreck the Indominus Rex because she is the queen of Isla Nublar! All hail, Rexy!:woo:

I thought there was an article that said the one from the original JP is the only one on the island.

Maybe they have a couple in the kingdom... the site mentions that they haven't seen a "family feud" with their dinos at the Kingdom.

I'm starting to wonder what is in that Restricted area of the island. It would be cool to have the untamed dinos roaming around the old Jurassic Park area, including the queen Rex.

Isla Sorna still has the dinosaurs from TLW and JP3 on it, but is being heavily watched.

There are many reasons why TLW was better than JP3, but this one takes the cake:

****in' bull****.

Serious question, I acknowledge JP3 was a very weak movie, but why all the hate for Spinosaurus?

And why does everyone act like it's sacrilege for the Spino to kill a T-Rex?

Its more for me that the spino just wasnt that interesting and mix that with a bland generic story with bland characters amd it just kills any momentum the film tried to get going. I dont hate the spino but maybe had he been presented in a different movie more in line with the original i would have warmed up to it more.

I dislike the spino mostly because of bad sfx. It looked alright in the river scene.

The cellphone scene was really good, I thought.

Because some people flat out don't think that it's good, and have supportable reason for feeling that way. I've already pointed out a major flaw. I saw it as a kid and liked it, but looking at it with a more informed eye now, I just think that it's really underwhelming and poorly-written.

Either way, it's still are just opinions..ya know?
As far as the bold part goes, I partially agree. But it doesn't affect my enjoyment watching the movie. Dinosaurs and T Rex family and Ian Malcolm. I have too much fun watching it to really think about the writing the number of flaws it has.

"'Ooh, ahh,' that's how it always starts... But later there's running, and, screaming..."

My favorite line in the series!

Probably just 1

Yeah, it was pretty tense.

Wow. I just realized the Spinosaurus hunting them was likely inspired by the T-Rex hunting Grant and the kids in Jurassic Park.

Anyone remember this? Early in production the main dino was originally going to be the Baryonyx

I much prefer the Spinosaurus over...that. At least the Spino had a more unique look to it when compared to the T-Rex.

With me, none of the sequels can touch the original.

BUt if you view Lost World as a B-Movie, it's fun. It's just that the characters are so dumb. Like overtly dumb. LIke the guy who was so scared of a snake that he's willing to prance towards a T-Rex's mouth. Was it meant to be that goofy?

A few reasons. For one, the Rex is the tyrant lizard king. He's pretty much the face of dinosaurs and untouchable in the public eye. Secondly, from a more quantifiable perspective, the spino would have had no chance against a Rex. Sure the spino might be bigger, but it is built for eating fish; while the Rex has the most powerful bite force of any land animal with an incredibly powerful neck meant to not only hold its massive head, but to rip and destroy whatever gets in its jaws - not only should the spino have been dead from the first bite to its neck, it wouldn't have been able to get away from the jaws, and certainly wouldn't have been able to over power the Rex to snap its neck (which was a dumb finishing move regardless).

All that being said, I understand their desire to bring in new dinosaurs, but there are others they could face used that would have had a more realistic chance at beating a T. rex but they went with the spino because it looked so vastly different.

Yeah I look at TLW as a fun b-style film as well. Though I'll give the snake guy some credit - he's terrified out of his mind trying to stay away from the Rex and then all of a sudden, some potentially poisonous thing is crawling on him...he flipped out. It's like watching a scary movie and your friend jumps at you to scare you - you're already scared from the movie and you're on heightened alert, so even though you know your friend was there or wasn't going to hurt you, your body overreacts anyway because the friend that scares you is perceived as the more imminent threat, just like the snake that was crawling on him was (in his freaked out head) the closer threat than the Rex who was unable to reach them.

I'm gonna be the sour puss and suggest your remove that video - mods aren't too cool with having the f bomb uncensored.

I kinda think it was meant to be goofy yeah. Always made me laugh haha. Nobody here is saying any of the sequels are as good as the original. Cause they aren't, JP is a classic for a reason. Very rarely as we know are any sequels AS good or better than the original. Alien and Aliens, Terminator and T2, Godfather and Godfather 2 are examples where there's an exception.
