Jurassic World

If the rumors are true of the Park being well established by the time this film takes place, I find it hard to find a decent reason for some of the preexisting characters to find their way to an easily avoidable island they have bad memories of. New characters make sense.

And i find it hard to believe any of the JP survivors would just sit back and not fight a park like that from opening... And not stop fighting it even once its been opened.

There's really got to be a deeper subtext to the film than simply a rehash of the first film. for me this is a great chance to tell a sorta "king Kong" aspect of feeling sorry for the animals

The film may flop if its a simple "dinos break out eat people and the survivors have to find a way off the island...

Jp3 was a standard spitball sequel in that vain... No depth what so everjst standard survival film.

Lost world at least expanded on the greed aspect while the original was about playing god...

Jp4 needs some sort if depth to it that at least feels somewhat original

What if they went an apocalyptic route, at the end of the movie the dinosaurs have bred outta control and spread across the world decimating the human population

No thanks.

I doubt that will happen... A) Jp3 ended with a hint of that and Jp4 is ignoring it B) dinos arnt exactly hard to kill

I don't doubt that, but this is rumored to be YEARS after the park has successfully opened. Unless it's about the opening of a sister park, I doubt we'd see too many previous characters back in action.

Hopefully they don't retread the old movies. That would include bringing back the original cast.

I'm opposed to bringing EVERYONE back. Not a couple. Tim in particular would be welcome.

Maybe they are taking inspiration from the IDW comics, where there was a fully functional Jurassic Park. Oh, and fun tidbit : the title "Jurassic World" is from a compilation of Crichton's two JP books in one.

JW is ignoring JPIII? Who said that? And why? I don't like JPIII, but that seems weird.

EDIT: Or do you mean they seem to be ignoring the Pteradactyl's leaving the island at the very end?

Guys, so take this with a grain of salt, but this was posted before the Jurassic World title was revealed today, and comes from Star Wars Celebration Europe II:

At CE2 today Iain Mcaig & Pablo Hidalgo introduced a video teaser clip of what was called "Jurassic World"
I'm not sure what type of dinosaur it was but think it was a pterodactyl?
The clip starts with the pterodactyl landing on a beach hut and crushing it, then launching itself high into the sky, circling and swooping & screeching.
Next the camera pans back to the beach where people are bathing & surfing, the camera zooms in close on a huge wave with a surfer riding the tube, then the pterodactyl comes flying through the wave and flys off with the surfer in its jaws.
Looked amazing!

The only citation I have is from the forums at Rebelscum, and someone who claims to have been at CE2.

Edit: This test footage was actually talked about on July 28th, so that means that footage and the title have been out there for a while now, meaning that info is probably legit.

I'm fine with the new name and there hasn't been a park involved after the original film anyway..well okay a new park being set-up was part of the story in Lost World but still

As for returning actors&characters..I only really want Sam Neil/Jeff Goldblum and Joseph Mazzello as Dr.Grant/Ian Malcolm&Tim and maybe Laura Dern as Dr.Ellie Satler

Cameos..Hammond,Lex or Julianne Moore as Dr.Sarah Harding

 How many...Sarah's do you think were in the movies?

I should have known a sarcastic joke was involved,anyway..A new Jurassic film is being made soon woohoo!

I like the title, glad to see it's still alive.

For the record, I like JP 3 MUCH more than Lost World. JP 3 was a high budget B movie, and it worked for me because it didn't try to be anything more. Lost World, which I HATE, tried and failed miserably. The so-called "heroes" are a bunch of self-righteous hypocrites who prattle on and on about respecting life and nature, etc, but their actions, sometimes deliberate actions, are constantly getting people killed. Despite this, the movie still wants the audience to support them, I didn't, the hunters and mercenaries were the true heroes of that movie imo.

I really hope that the new film recaptures the sense of wonder the dinosaurs provided when they were on screen.

Glad to hear that, with the title Jurassic World and in this new generation i think it would be a major waste not to go with the global threat route, another visit to the Island and getting out is just more of the same

Im saying the idea is stupid

And that the pteronidons flying off to repopulate will probably be ignored so why try to do it again?

But the global threat route does make sense considering majority of the dinos can't get off the island... And don't stand a chance against modern weaponry. Its a terrible concept.
