Jurassic World

... yes Aquatic and the few flying dinos that existed can... but A) what's a jurassic park movie without raptor and the t-rex?

and B) I think you really need the land dinos to make the movie still feel like a dinosaur movie... Im thrilled to have some water dinos.. but i don't want them to be the only ones in the film or the focus

as for ignoring them? what are the 3 pteranodon's going to do? be air transport for dinos? some how these giant birds re-populate in swarms that no one can seem to find on radar? you can't make a movie out of people shooting missles at dinos.. and it sounds like a ridiculous movie.

they may acknowledge the released pteranodon's like in the pitch video that was released today... but i don't expect that to be the basis of the film
I Know, it's because of those limitations that i don't think the entire movie should be completelly set out of the Island, it would just mean the flying and water dinossaurs would have gotten out and overrun some places, with the militar striving to anihilate them.

You could get this to find a reason for the plot to come back to the Island, be it because of a vírus as discussed some many times ago, or for a certain MacGuffin that can help them out of that situation, this way we would get the best of both worlds, some great scenes with the dinossaurs that got out and scenes in the Island with the Rex and Raptors.

I'm pretty sure they can find some excuse for a couple of land dinosaurs to have gotten onto the main land as well. Really hoping this is the case because dinosaurs on our turf has never been seen except for in the end of the Lost World. It's something fresh, original, and exciting.

IMDB isn't the pinnacle of film appreciation, especially the messageboards. In Crichton's novel, raptors were getting onto supply ships bound for the mainland. They could easily have that scenario with people passing by the island for whatever reason. The larger dinos could be brought from the island by poachers, and sold to guerilla factions, smugglers etc.

How dare you! The IMDB boards is pumped with pure culture, and great for 'Is he GAY?' and 'Is he/she Black?' threads.

I am a swine.

We need a carnotaurus in this film, and I'll second some marine dinos. You can create some creepy underwater scenes that would give the viewers the same sort of awe at the first sight of JP1's rex.

Thought that was a given

This is what I always wanted to see, I love this concept art of it. View image for full resolution

That is amazing. I would love to see some giant sea creatures in this one. To me they are twice as terrifying as the land ones. Movies don't have enough sea monsters nowadays

Ocean-going ichthyosaurs or better, mosasaurs, would be a bigger challenge to control for sure although I think for necessity, they'd have to be fewer in number but massive in size. Mosasaurs were the kings of the ocean in their time rivaling anything else that's existed.

If anyone who visits Jurassic Park Legacy Forums, you'll find funny and baffling reactions to the title of 'Jurassic World'. Some folks think it's stupid, and some want 'Park' in the title so badly that they would've preferred the bafflingly redundant "Jurassic World: Jurassic Park 4'..

JPL forums are full of idiots and ***holes. It's a good place to go for some cool stuff (like the "Images/Pictures/Drawings that could ILLUSTRATE the FIRST NOVEL" threads), but alot of the posters there are rude, or maybe they've changed since I posted there oh so many years ago.

Well to be fair, when you're following a franchise that's close to your heart and writing about it (almost) everyday and playing it close to the vest, you'll lack some perspective on certain things. It happens to the best of us.

JP is my favorite movie and book of all time. Doesn't mean I feel the need to be rude about it :oldrazz:

I wonder if there's any plan for them to now depict John Hammond as sort of a walt disney like mascot at the park now that he's passed?

Maybe a statue of him holding hands with a raptor?

Yeah, I mean what's the point of becoming a fan of something if you don't start to hate other fans for having a different point of view?

I really want them to create a moment like this again.

I can only assume that's one of the key things they're trying to achieve here, that scene is one of the most iconic on all film history. It's sad to say that kind of awe has been somewhat absent in todays film culture.

For me, that scene is still great because it looks like the rex is actually there. It doesn't look like shoddy sfx or anything.

Was the T-Rex fully cgi, animatronics, or a bit of both? Also, someone who worked on JP 3 mentioned that an aquatic Dinosaur-like creature was what killed the speed boat crew at the beginning.

Cool, good to know. You know what always amused me about the first three films. You had a bunch of hunters, soldiers, and mercenaries with all kinds of weaponry in all three movies, yet the ONLY human who managed to kill a dinosaur in all three movies was a teenage girl using gymnastics. Did all those people suffer from Stormtrooper syndrome? Maybe in this movie, some humans can actually shoot straight.
