Thank you Toei for doing the video on Nem's actor, clearly stating she is 16. Because now I have to worry how the show is going to handle a 16 year old idol...
It is not unusual for Toei to hire a young newcomer actress or idol, Sithborg.
In fact, at 16 years old (now 17) Nem's actress isn't the youngest ever to be hired by Toei.
Its dating back to
Kamen Rider Den-O when Kohana (the main heroine) was played by a 8 years old at the time, and just 2 years ago...one of the villain in
Gotchard, Atropos played by a 2014 born actress, so she was 9 when
Gotchard aired in 2023.
And in
Gavv, Lizel was played by a 15 years old actress, and also having her character got married (it was a gay marriage though as she married Jiip Stomach, the one on the right in the 2nd pic)
So, I think nothing to be concerned of, Sithborg.
This is barely the first time and Toei has been professional to their employees.
Though admittedly, yes, one or two out of ten, there were one or two scandals behind the scenes, notably the sexual harassment by the producer to the female staff, the stalking incident involving Yui Asakura, the actress who played Aguilera (both from
Kamen Rider Revice BTS), and most recently, the scandal involving Imamori Maya from
No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, who reportedly is having an affair with a 41 years old stunt actor. But all of that were the behind the scenes drama, no relation whatsoever of how Toei has handled the actors in their stories within the shows.
