Ken Ham vs Bill Nye (Is creation a viable model of origins?)

Not to get everyone on topic again but is the debate going to be livestreamed or recorded in any way? I'd like to see it.

Answers in Genesis (a creationist organization - headed by Ken Ham) is sponsoring the debate. And the proceeds, apparently, will be going to Ken Ham’s Kentucky “Creation Museum” and his efforts to build an accurate replica of Noah’s Ark. :whatever: (So no matter how well Nye does [and I think the deck is stacked against him], creationists will be pocketing $$$).

AiG announced that the debate will be live streamed.

Cool beans, thanks.

I may not be able to catch it but I'm sure that it'll be on YT within an hour of finishing.

That it will. They are putting it up themselves.
If you log in you may be able to ask a question yourself if that interests you.

I can't imagine how many people they'll have trying to censor inappropriate questions that would come flooding in.

Pfft. Just wait 24 hours and it'll be on youtube. I'm not paying money to see that. I'd like to see Mr. (Dr?) Nye in action but I'm not interesting in giving money to fund something I'm opposed to.

Aaaaaaaand there we have it. The answer to why they are even having this debate in the first place, and why people are telling Bill Nye not to do it.

I feel bad for Bill. He's probably going into this to try and bring some sense to the issue and all he will do (inadvertently) is help Ken Ham build Noah's Ark.

Le sigh.

Well it's only giving him money if you want to buy a copy so it's not like everyone will be pouring money into it.

Who's going to be pissed when Ken Ham builds his ark, there is a massive flood, and you're not invited on it.

He has several Honorary Doctorate degrees but earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Since it's an honorary, I don't think it's appropriate to call him a doctor.

I don't fully believe in evolution OR a young earth theory...so...There is not even evidence on either side to be considered fact.

You sir have balls to walk into the lions den, with a suit made of steaks.

While slapping BBQ sauce on as sunscreen.

Whelp, everyone takes his previous statement at face value and let him have it.

I'll be hiding behind the sandbags.

You're right. The vast multitudes of scientists who do consider it to be fact clearly don't know any better than you do, and are lying because they hate God.

How can they hate God if they don't believe he exists?
