Halle Berry and Julianne Moore confirmed.

Vaughn making a sequel for the first time.

And all it took was Halle and Julianne.

Filming begins in April apparently so there should be more casting announced soon.

Vaughn is actually doing it!? :awesome:

This really is fantastic.

For me, a con of this was always that Colin Firth wouldn't be returning, at least probably not in anything more than a cameo.

The fact that Vaughn is returning to direct gives me hope. I have yet to see a movie of his that I didn't like or love.

I am going to miss Firth, by my favorite character was Strong's Merlin. If we get more Merlin, I am going to be very happy.

Also, they better bring back Roxy.

Fixed.

But yeah, Vaughn coming back is the real reason to get excited. Though, it sounds like he may have taken drugs before he "woke up with the story".

Now how are they gonna pull that one off? He stopped his own heart and caught the bullet in his teeth I suspect.

I really liked the first film so I'm really looking forward to this!

And besides the X-Men movies and Catwoman, I haven't seen any movie from Halle Berry in the big screen so... I'm looking forward to her role here! I hope she delivers!

It's a welcomed career movie for Halle (supporting franchise role). When she was first announced it said she'd be head of the CIA which sounded quite a boring authority role, but the fact she's head of the US version of Kingsman means she could have some cool stuff to do.

She'll have Matthew Vaughn to thank. Halle nearly worked with him twice before (X3 and DoFP). I imagine they liked the idea of a woman of colour being the head for diversity reasons.

Also props to Vaughn for hiring older actresses. Halle is 50 this year and Moore is 55.

As much as I liked Firth, I think he should stay dead. He was shot point blank in the head by the villain. If he comes back, it cheapens his death.

You never know, maybe the poster is referring to the villain (Valentine).:oldrazz:

I'll really miss Gazelle, she reminded me of a Roger Moore era Bond villains henchman like Jaws.

I want to her to have some amazing kick-ass scenes in the movie! The woman with the blade shoes in the first film was so fierce! :ilv:

And a Halle VS Julianne fight scene would be amazing!

This will be the apology for her not getting the role she was supposed to have in Wanted. Also, if they want to include a little successor to her infamous scene in Swordfish I would not be averse. :o

Where exactly in the head was he shot?

The glasses suggest the lens, which in the world of Kingsman could easily be bulletproof.
