Kong: King of Skull Island (Neill Marshall)

Huh, interesting.

Neil Marshall is amazing. I'll be watching this.

I love Dog Soldiers. I can't wait to see what he does with something bigger.

So its a sequel to the peter jackson kong?

It's a sequel to one of them although from that report it's hard to tell exactly which.

Probably the 1933 original. It makes a point of saying that this book ignores Son of Kong, which was sequel to the original.

But it could also be the modern remake as well which was based on the original.

I'll see it.

Kong is one of my favorite film monsters, thus it is impossible to pass up any project involving Skull Island's favorite son.

Kong is also one of my favorite monsters and I need to put Jackson's take behind myself.

Over/under on how long Sean Pertwee and Liam Cunningham last before they get offed in the film?

There were 2 other threads about this before this one, i remember that in the other ones everybody was against this film. I sincerelly have been hoping it would be done for a while, i hope it's a sequel to Jackson's version, but i wouldn't mind if it could serve as a sequel to both versions.

Loved Dog Soldiers and The Descent but thought Doomsday was just awful at times.

Dog Soldiers is one of the best werewolf movies of all time, with Marshall in charge of this I would be very excited, Kong is a favorite of mine.

Ok. Marshall and Kong? Otherwise I might be skeptical but I'm ****ing in!

So wait, is this official or rumour? Who's the studio behind it if not Universal?

Key word here is budget, if this is to happen and after Jackson's Kong I want Kong to look impressive once again.

Can't say I'm surprised. A little disappointed, but not surprised.

EDIT: That said, it's not the first time someone involved with a blockbuster has outright denied it. Still...

Oh, well.
