Kurt Cobain Bio Pic

Thsi thread just got my hopes up . I always thought the guy was kind of mysterious and although he had alot of faults I think there was a method to his madness.

I would be looking forward to this film, but Courtney Love's involvement makes me not care at all.

Definitely Joe Anderson as Kurt. Maybe Zachary Levi as Grohl? No idea who would make a good Novoselic though.

I just watched the trailer to Oren Movermans film The Messenger and i think it looks pretty good and promising if Oren ends up directing the KC bio pic

I hope we get a washed out looking small budget film that reflects the time and Kurts attitude and style.

I really hope it has an authentic 80s-90s feel to it. Look at films like Dazed and confused or Judd Apatows Freaks and Geeks.

Being a long time Nirvana fan i want lots of the small details that i have read about over the years.

mm a bit too old now i think
but yeh he was once an actor i thought could do the job

I think a lot of the story will be set in his earlier days before NIRVANA got huge
so we need to look at younger actors for the role. Plus he was only 27 when he died in 94

Ryan Gosling or Garrett Hedlund as Kurt.

ryan gosling has too much of a large stature, and kurt was only a small guy.. 5'7"? i think and weighed about 55-60 kg

I think its one thing to make Tom Cruise look tall but to make a tall man into short thin one would be hard

anyone read about this??
3 people died after Kurts Cobans death.

- the guy that says Courtney asked him to kill Kurt for 50grand. Took a polygraph and passed. week later is Ran over by a train.

-the bassist of Hole who left the band was a friend of Kurts allegedly linked to be the other woman he was leaving Courtney for,
day later found dead of a Drug over dose.

-the detective after Courtney for Drug allegations (group of young men shot him and he escaped but died soon after)

Three More Deaths- Coincidence or Murder?

Eldon Hoke 4/19/1997

On March 19th, 1997, Eldon hoke aka El Duce of the band 'The Mentors', dies mysteriously on a train track in Riverside,Ca. It was one week after he did an interview with Nick Broomfeild for his film "Kurt and Courtney" where he reveals Courtney Love approached him with an offer of $50,000 to kill her husband, Kurt Cobain. Some speculate that Hoke was not the most reliable witness and was telling this tale for monetary gain.

His story was given to Tom Grant in which he was aware of an earlier interview Hoke had done with 'High Times Magazine' in April of 1996. Grant in turn decided to get Hoke a polygraph test before he could believe it.

On March 6th, 1996, a national television program hired an examiner to do a polygraph examination on Hoke. As it turned out, they hired the very best in the country, Dr. Edward Gelb in who is one of the few experts who's testimony is accepted by the Los Angeles Police Commission. He is presently conducting examinations for at least 100 defense attorneys as well as district attorneys offices and police angencies. He was also the one who gave OJ Simpson his polygraph test in the case of his murdered ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, in which he failed miserably.

Dr. Gelb scored Eldon Hoke's test and came back with the result of .01 % possiblity of deception! It doesn't get better than that! Grant had asked Gelb if there was any way that Hoke could've fooled the machine and Gelb confidently replies, "Not this guy!"

Unfortunately, Hoke is dead before he can sit in a court's witness chair and publically record his story.

Another coincidence?

Kristen Pfaff 6/15/1994

Kristen Pfaff , former bass player for Hole, had used heroin, been through rehab and was clean. She made plans of leaving Seattle and Courtney behind. On the eve of her departure, she mysteriously dies of a heroin overdose.

As the story goes, being upset with Kurt's death two months before, Kristen decides to leave Seattle for good and was joining up with her old band 'Janitor Joe'. On June 15th 1994, the truck was packed and her friend Paul Erickson was ready to drive her as far away as possible early the next day. Her old boyfriend, Eric Erlandson of Hole, paid Kristen a visit that evening at around 8pm. He was the last known person to see Kristen alive. At 9am the following morning, Paul Erickson let himself into Kristen’s apartment to wake her but there was no reply. Realising the bathroom door was locked, he called to her again and still did not get any response. He then broke the door down and found Kristen dead in the bathtub with heroin paraphernalia on the floor. Erickson calls 911.

This story is the same for Kurt. Both ended up dead, both had heroin/morphine in their systems at the time of death. Both of them also had contact with people Courtney was close to just before they died. Michael DeWitt and Eric Erlandson.

Soon after, the Rome note was given back to Courtney from Sgt. Cameron of the Seattle Police Dept. and was told to dispose of it. So, she burns it.

Detective Antonio Terry 6/4/1994

Narcotics Detective Terry was murdered. He's the first Seattle police officer to be killed in nine years. On June 4th, 1994, off duty, Terry was driving home from work dressed in plain clothes. Apon driving off the interstate ramp, he noticed four young men waving for him to stop. Their car was apparently broken down. As Terry stopped in his unmarked car to help, it was claimed that he approached the four young men with a gun demanding why they waved him over. It was then that an argument and gun battle ensued. Terry was shot and managed to drive himself to the South Precinct two miles away. Three hours later, he was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.

Even though reports on this case are scetchy and doesn't appear to be linked to Kurt's case, it's quite a coincidence. Courtney Love has been in prior contact with Detective Terry on several occasions, to often bust her 'drug buddies' and during the time Kurt was missing, once using the car phone in Grant's presence. It is no secret that they were friends. The false missing persons report that Courtney called in claiming to be Kurt's mother, also has a footnote stating, "Det. Terry SPD/Narcotics has further info".

What could he possibly have known?

Ive been reading, listening to interviews with detective involved...about lie about the case, Courtney Love making phony phone calls pretending to be Kurts Mother saying he's missing. Making Phony police reports about him prior to his death...

A comprehensive review of 99 forensic, criminological, and other scientific references was undertaken with regards to analyzing the postmortem blood morphine level of Kurt Cobain.
Roger Lewis "Dead Men Don't Oull Triggers"

all circulating footage from the day Kurt's body was found while the complete Interview with Private Investigator Tom Grant who was hired by Courtney Love is played....****ed up ****..

I'm reading more stuff about Kurt Cobain... after kurt died a woman that he was friends with the bassist of hole died of a heroin over dose...there are quotes of her saying this about Courtney...

"Courtney’s scary. If I take a hike, she’ll make me look bad or do something to make my life miserable."
- Kristen to a friend (WKKC? page 146)

"Don’t **** with her, just bite your tongue when Courtney does something stupid or insults you. That’s what I do. Courtney has the power to make us a lot of cash.
- Eric Erlandson to Kristen (WKKC? page 147)

"As long as she has three puppets who agree that she is the star, there are no problems." - Kristen on Courtney (WKKC? page 147)

"You **** my guitar player, constantly make eyes at my husband and now you’re telling me how to sing. Just don’t **** with me because you’ll regret it forever."
- Courtney to Kristen (WKKC? page 148)

"At first she’s really nice to you to your face, but if you do something that she doesn’t agree with, she’ll do something behind your back to make you look really bad."
- Kristen talking to her mother about Courtney (WKKC?)

"I care a lot about you but you’re such a low life, Your whole life is a fake. Everything. The people you hang with, the drug dealers, Courtney...even your guitar playing. You’re so good at fooling the crowd."
- Kristen to Eric Erlandson.

here's one from Kurt

"She’s a ****ing talented musician, she’s also a beautiful soul. I think she’s so beautiful, but if I ever told her that, and Courtney found out, it would be hell."
- Kurt talking about Kristen to Dylan Carlson

Kristen's father,
Her father, Norman Pfaff, described her as “bright, personable, wonderful...very, very talented, smart, and she always seemed to be in control of her circumstances. Last night she wasn’t,”[4]

Kristen Pfaff's mother, Janet Pfaff, states she has never accepted the official story regarding her daughter's death. Janet was interviewed by authors Wallace and Halperin in August 2003.
"I met Courtney for the first time at the Phoenix Festival in England 1993. She was never able to look me in the eye and I could never figure out why. I thought she was very rude. I never trusted her and I could see how she treated Kristin. When Kristin told me she was quitting Hole, she told me that she would never rejoin them, no matter how successful the album was. She wasn't quitting Hole, She was quitting Courtney. She just couldn't stand to be around Courtney anymore, especially after Kurt's death. I think she was scared of her. She wanted to make a new start."

the day Kristen Pfaff died she quit Hole and was leaving Seattle to return to Minneapolis to rejoin a band Janitor Joe permanently.
She had packed a Uhaul truck to leave in the morning, and she was found dead by heroine the next day.

No fingerprints were found on the syringes, the case was closed without an investigation. Courtney lied about person finding her dead and gave the police false leads..

Kurt had bought 2 one-way plane tickets and it was speculated that he was leaving town with his new girlfriend. Tom Grant said that Courtney was obsessed with finding out who she was. Kristin was reported to be distraught over Kurts death and suddenly she's dead too. Makes me wonder if Kristin was the "other woman."

Tom Grant is a private investigator known for his involvement in high-profile cases involving celebrity clients has been and is still tring to get the case re-opened

"I reached the conclusion that Courtney Love and Michael Dewitt, (the male nanny who lived at the Cobain residence), were involved in a conspiracy that resulted in the murder of Kurt Cobain."

http://www.cobaincase.com/

Sgt. Cameron admitted 2 years later that there were no markings on Kurt's hands indicating he had fired the weapon.

"Yeah, there weren't any marks on his hands...Some rookie must've put that line in the police report."

he said when speaking about the mistake in the police report.

Tom Grant says: "I can say with confidence that there were no marks on Cobain's hands that would indicate he fired this weapon. I've had the police reports analyzed by other homicide detectives and criminalists.

No one can figure out what these "marks" could have been. I can't explain further at this time, but I can tell you the authorities will never claim the marks were GS residue or soot.

Some of the additional evidence I've obtained regarding these so-called "marks" cannot be disclosed until the case is reopened. If the Seattle authorities ever care to describe the "marks" in detail, I'll come forward with additional evidence that will prove those so--called "marks" did not really exist."

Yeah, I used to look into that stuff some years ago. I does look bad for Courtney Love. If she indeed is behind Kurt's death, she may have very well commited the perfect murder, since she got away with it. Edward Norton was his boyfriend quite a long time, and he didn't believe she could have done it.... but maybe Courtney fooled him well. Who knows...

Althought that Elton Hoke guy... Who would hire a guy like that to do a murder? He didn't seem all that smart in the Bloomfeld documentary. He didn't really say anything himself, Bloomfeld asked really leading questions to which he just answered "yes, that's how I did it, like you said." If my memory serves me well, that is.

man Courtney Love's quotes are scary...

"Was it necessary to use people here and there?"
Love was put off at first, then said, "Using, yeah! Mentoring, yeah. Learning craft from some people,
learning self-effacement from others. Is it Athena who rises with the stallions and when they get
exhausted and they fall down, she just switches and gets another one? Yeah, to win the race, to get
through the gates. What did they get out of me? A lot. The men run companies. The men are mullti-
millionaires. The one man that I loved so much and didn't feel that way about" -she was finally talking
about Cobain- "he was crushed and, I believe this, he was crushed for his love of me. They killed him
because he loved me. That's not what the weak, enfeebled, emasculated Dionysian hero is supposed to
do. He's not supposed to love me. But he did. That is a tragedy." She trails off. "But he was so
sensitive... I don't want to get into this."

excerpts from her live show

"Like a reptile under your skin,
don't mess with it, I will always win.
Like a snake I am under your skin,
don't mess with it baby, I will always win."

"This song is about getting into a lot of trouble OK."
launches into She Walks On Me
(during this, she replaces a couple of lines with:

"I want him, he's all gone." and

"WE ARE POISON. WE BOTH KILLED HIM."

she dedicated 'My Body The Hand Grenade to Kurt Cobain'
which means in her quote,

Courtney: "We were going to call it 'Use Once and Destroy', it was too much of a drug
reference, too rock."
"if you take away someones mouth and their eyes and
their senses and their brain, they explode. I saw a grenade in my head, I saw taking out the clip, and the human body and what happens if you take out the clip."

Head trauma, violence and death. Dedicating an album originally intended to be titled 'Use Once And Destroy' to Kurt.

here is Kurt Cobains a letter
clearly not a suicide note.

he talks about wanting a break from music. And there was talk amongst friends and band members about a break.

kurttyped.jpg

heres the actual note and you can see where the forgery begins so blatantly.... like wow...

lanote.gif

forgery from Kurt Cobains letter

34681762.gif

and this is Courtney Loves hand written letter

12805032.jpg

my God i'm not a specialist and i can clearly see the similarities in the letters and the spaces between words...

Courtney Love writes, BIG, BOLD, Aggressive, the distance between words shows her distance from her and people...

Kurts is tightly packed together small and meek...shows how he was in actual life and how she was towards him, controlling, manipulative and aggressive towards Kurt..

"IN KURT COBAIN'S LETTER WHICH IS A SO CALLED SUICIDE NOTE BUT IS CLEARLY NOT AT THE TOP OF THE LETTER IT SAYS BODDAH BODDAH IS WHO THIS LETTER WAS ADDRESSED TO FOR YOU PEOPLE WONDERING WHO BODDAH IS IT WAS KURTS IMAGINARY FRIEND"

I don't want a Kurt Cobain Movie...I'd rather have the case Opened, and after the answers are out to the public then a movie should be considered.

Lies are kept cause of MONEY. Why should a bull**** movie be made just to make some more cold cash blood money in the name Of Kurt Cobain.

the Medical examaner of Kurts Body was an old friend of Courtney Love.

August 22nd 2002 Update: Mr. Hartshorne passed away on August 6th 2002 in a BASE jumping accident

WOW WTF

CONFLICT OF INTEREST
The medical examiner, Dr. Nikolas Hartshorne insists Cobain died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound. He was interviewed in 2000 for a VH1 Confidential story on the theories. Hartshorne is adamant that Kurt's death was "an open and shut case of suicide". "Kurt died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. I have no doubt in my mind, not one shred of doubt, that this is in fact a suicide." he says. However, Hartshorne's credibility has been questioned due to a conflict of interest. He knew Cobain and Love personally. Hartshorne booked shows in Seattle in the late 80s. He was also a "party friend" of Courtney Love.
During a 1996 lecture by the authors of Who Killed Kurt Cobain? in Montreal, they showed video taped interviews of Hartshorne admitting he and Love were friends. Hartshorne left Seattle shortly after Kurt's death.

I would really love it if this movie got a similar treatment to the film Im Not There

Another way i think it could be great is if they did it in Rotoscope and got Richard Linklater to direct it.

that way they could make all the actors spot on, plus i think it could make for some really cool drug sequences.

I went and watched Montage of heck last night. Pretty awesome documentary! I am a real big fan of NIRVANA and Kurts work and I think this film paid a lot of respect to him.

Anyway I quoted my self because I thought it was funny that I suggested 6 yrs ago that they do an animated rotoscope style film and in this film they pretty much do just that. I dont think it was actually rotoscope but pretty damn close.

I always thought heath ledger as kurt cobain, in a biopic directed by steve mcqueen, would have been a performance for the ages.
