Solar panels provide as much energy as they can convert when the sun is out. It lowers your monthly bill. The batteries store the energy in case of an outage so you can still power your home for awhile.

Wow got to Friday fast on the final full October week.

so i put the trash out last night and literally crashed. went to sleep about 6pm, work up around 3, then finally got out of bed at 730 this morning. apparently it's been raining and storming all night. i just looked outside and the trashmen came... and left the lid open on my trash
