Lead Singer of the Band Boston Dies

Oh dear, I love Boston. RIP, Mr. Delp. My prayers go with his family and friends.

Major bump. I can't believe there are only two Boston fans here.

I can't believe that there are two Boston fans at all :csad:

What's wrong with Boston? They were one of the greatest true Rock 'n' Roll bands to come out of the 70s and 80s. When I mean, Rock 'n' Roll, I mean rock in its purest of forms. The only other ones I can really think of are Creedence Clearwater Revival, The James Gang, and maybe Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

*Sings* MORE THAN A FEEELING!!

R.I.P.

That's a shame. Delp had an incredible voice. His range is STILL one of the most phenomenal in all of rock and roll.

jag

There's a band called Boston?

Anyway... R.I.P. :csad:

dude, boston was one of the bands that killed the greatest true rock of the 70's. along with bands like kansas, chicago, journey, styx, etc.....

either way, this dude was only 55, so that sucks he died.

What exactly is "true" rock to you, anything that doesn't use an electric or bass guitar?

To you "true" rock is something completely different from the next person. In other words, it's very subjective. Particularly since, being born in 1970, I love Boston, Journey, Foreigner, Chicago, Styx ... probably all the bands you hate.

Back on topic - it's just mind boggling that he's dead, and at 55!!??

RIP Mr. Delp, you will be missed.

Not really. As rodger Daltrey said he's in the "drop zone." Which means he's over 50 so it's not that odd for him to have a massive heart attack or stroke and BOOM dead! :unishr:

I'm still celebrating this fortuitus turn of events though. I hate Boston. :yay:

you might want to ask the thread starter that question, since those were his words that i took from his original post. i may not be able to cearly define what true rock is, but i can tell you what true rock aint....and thats boston!

I never much cared for the band, but they were still Rock 'n' Roll icons.

Love Journey, Love Kansas, Love Styx and Love Chicago. Sorry.

R.I.P.,way too young.
I'd like to know what was the cause of his passing.

Probably because someone downloaded some Boston songs

what are you talking about? My "original" post is still up unedited. I didnt start this "true rock" debate someone else did. A simple scroll up would tell you that. If your not a fan mourn the loss of a good person, if you are mourn the loss of a good person an good singer. Either way, wars shouldnt be started in a R.I.P. thread.
