Let Pandas Die Out.

Okay, that's a good point (& their picky diet too). But we did a good amount of damage to them. Still, there's no reason to just kill them all off. They're not doing anything wrong, except not adapting.
If you read what he's saying he's not advocating the widespread slaughter of pandas...

He's suggesting we leave nature to its course and let them die off naturally.

I don't blame you for reading it that way though, because journalists will always look to sensationalise and blow up stories to be more than they really are.

Pretty much everything he says is common sense when you read it on its terms. I don't disagree with any of it personally.

Nobody's saying to kill them all off, the proposal is to stop or lessen the funds put towards panda conservation and instead use it to help other species that are able to adapt. The idea is to let the pandas die off with thier dignity, their sexually-prudish, non-adaptive, child-neglecting dignity.

Have you ever seen a panda... Like "in person"? Me either.

The point is that I've also never seen a dinosaur or a Tasmanian tiger and it's unfortunate but natural and okay.
Look, buddy. Just because you're from Hicktown and have never seen a panda in a zoo or anything, doesn't mean that I haven't, okay?!

Of course you've never seen a dinosaur, but that doesn't make it any better that certain species are disappearing currently. It may be natural, but it is unfortunate enough that it would make me feel terrible.

It is unfortunate, but the warm, fuzzy, romanticized feeling people get about animals is no reason to neglect the ones that really need it. Pandas are endangered, but so are tigers, elephants, and dozens of other species, some of them not seen as favorably as the cute, cuddly panda.

So have you ever seen a panda? I would say that most people haven't as there are very many people and not very many pandas. Hence this conversation.

It's unfortunate, but not unfortunate enough to warrant doing something about it.

I saw a panda one time when I was in Berlin. It gingerly trotted around welcoming people with a wink and a smile.

Arent pandas a buncha ****s! Seriously no other creature on the planet who has no natural predators are dying out. Theyre dead weight lets lose the pandas. We have tried we have ****ing tried us the human race have put pandas in cages and are like "Theres a panda! Go and **** the panda!.... And they just look at each other! You think pandas realize theyre chinese and they are taking the one child policy to seriously?

Look, Pandas have already been immortalized on film, as seen below. If they die out, they die out. It sort of sucks, but...evolution and leading a horse to water and all that.

How would Pandas becoming extinct prevent people from enjoying ANCHORMAN?

I personally feel that, as noble as it is to save endangered animals...humans have problems that could use additional funding, too.

Also, shouldn't this be China's job?

"China doesn't care about Chinese people."

They're doing more than just "There's a panda. Go and f*** the panda." as well... that's the sad part.

They've shown them "panda porn", backed pandas into enclosures in the hope that males would find them more appealing/alluring.

We've done everything short of tanking them up and taking them out on a stag-night with panda hookers... Its sad when the reality is hilariously more desperate than even stand-up comics are capable of coming up with...

That was for the double post, not what you said. I don't need to pay for jills. :o

I was offered to be their logo, but I have priors, and they didn't want the bad press.

I never thought that a topic about a very sweet, cute, and cuddly animal dying out of existence and being wiped from the face of the planet could be so full of hilarious win.

Pandas are beautiful animals...if we can preserve them and save them, we should.
That's going to take one hell of a jam jar and a s***load of vinegar...

Yet another sign among many that this is the right choice.
