How come we're getting DC movies based on specific comic story arcs but noone can seem to do the same for Marvel?

Because, with the exceptions of Hulk Vs. and Doctor Strange, the Marvel animated movies have sucked.

My point exactly. Maybe they need to go a different route. Wouldn't you like to see an animated movie of, say, "The Client"? "Secret Wars"? "Secret War"? "Age Of Apocalypse"? "The CHild WIthin"? "Kraven's Last Hunt"?

Planet Hulk is coming out pretty soon.

I found that out just the other day. It's a start.

Its not a fair comparison, from day one the DC animated projects had the WB animation studios behind them and the Marvel ones had to make due with what they could get.

Now that they are owned by Disney I would expect the animation department to start picking up.

That's the funny thing about DC and Marvel. On the movie front Marvel is really far ahead of DC in terms of getting things done. When it comes to animation DC has been ahead of Marvel for awhile. Planet Hulk will be a good start, and I think Civil War is in the works. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

I heard rumors of a Marvel Zombies movie, but I doubt it.

What I really want is an animated full-length movie along these lines.

Now that is awesome. If someone for a video game company can do that, Marvel or Disney now should get the creators & their asses in a seat in front of them & talk $.

thats cause DC isnt making any movies... lol

I love that. CGI animation is the perfect way to bring the characters to life. It is the only way to get it exactly like the comicbook versions. Notice how, in that five minute short, Spidey himself had more lines than in any of the Raimi movies? And more jokes? It clearly can be done, and doesn't decrease the tension in the scene.
