Wikipedia:
At October 2006 the movie company Celtic Rose Entertainment optioned the rights of the series. At a book signing in the North Texas area the author stated that he had sold the rights to the film version of the first book 'about a month ago' (ago from Dec. 2007) and that it was being made by "the people who made the Spider-Man filmshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_(film)". He casually shrugged off the question of who was going to take the role of Leven by asking in response 'who here would like to play Leven?'.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leven_Thumps#cite_note-8Currently the movie is in preproduction. As there is no script, director or any actors cast at the current day, it would seem that the film may not start to move forward until sometime in 2011 leaving an early to late 2012 release date seem more possible.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leven_Thumps#cite_note-9

Still nothing new about this project. Sad. I think it can be among the better fantasy film adaptions.
I don't care that Leven is American, actually. I suggest Nicholas Hoult to play the lead.
And Gabor Csupo or Chris Weitz to direct it. They are extremely good at making different worlds come to life.

DarkSovereignty: Well, check out the Celtic Rose Entertainment homepage. Leven Thumps is being mentioned there. Don't know if they are a credible source, though.

I ask for permission to change my actor suggestion for the lead.
South-african actor Troye Sivan would suit the role better, and he's younger than Hoult.

Just look at the white streak in his hair. It says everything.
