I finally saw this tonight, great film. Carnahan keeps the storytelling simple as the men go from panic and anger to camaraderie and defiance to ultimately acceptance in the case of Diaz and Ottway.

I thought Carnahan's minimalist approach to the attacks by the wolves was very effective, he gave them a menacing and almost mystic quality, and the film is beautifully lensed, capturing the harsh grandeur of the freezing stage that the story takes place on. I really liked the score as well.

8/10

Sad thing is it is getting next to no love for any type of awards. The score and acting alone should get a look.

Glad to hear you really liked it Hunter.

With the score they should really credit Jamin Winans's Ink since everyone can't get enough of The City Surf.

And yeah, it's a shame this wont get any acting nods, It's Liam Neeson's best in years.

I don't think he should win, but I feel like he definitely deserves a nomination.

^Definately a nomination, thats the least he deserves in my eyes.

Agreed, his performance was easily one of the best of the year
