Lifeless: a zombie tv series

So who is going to pick it up? I hope it goes to FX.

Honestly I don't know....I signed up to the site for updates though.

I think it could be great. an ongoing zombie movie...awesome.

maybe thats where they got the idea from

I'd love to see it...but the concept seems to be limited. Like how much can you really do with it?

i'd love it if it were on hbo... i think a network zombie movie would be like about as scary as buffy. i loved buffy, but it wasnt scary.

Won't this get boring fast? How many Episodes can you watch of the same group of people running for their lifes from Zombies?

You've clearly never read The Walking Dead.

Looks nice. I got the Walking Dead feel, especially with the graphics used.

why not just do a Walking Dead series instead?....I'm not the only one that's been saying that for years

I guess you two never seen Lost which has been on for 3 seasons now. It follows a small cast on a deserted island. Hell Gilligan's Island did the same thing. It can be done and it can be done in a way that doesn't get boring. You have time to set up each character and their pasts. They can go into detail about how the zombie virus got started and what is being done to fight it. There are tons of possibilities that can be explored.

yeah... a good team behind MOST concepts can take it many different places, and a zombie theme is no diff.

I think a TV series based on Max Brooks' zombie novel World War Z would be pretty cool. Since the book's chapters are divided up into various individuals telling about their experiences before and during the world-wide zombie plague, the episodes could each deal with different people, with "the interviewer" being a reoccurring character of course. Such a series would have to be on a gore-friendly channel like HBO or Showtime however. I'd suggest Sci-Fi Channel if their production values didn't suck so much.

BTW if you're a zombie fan and you haven't read World War Z yet, go to Amazon.com and buy it right now. Go! Chop-chop!

EDIT: Oops - I forgot...World War Z is going to be a movie, slated for release in 2008. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816711/

When I was reading the book I thought an HBO series would be the perfect place for it.

i think i read somewhere that brad pitt bought the film rights... that books is f-ing sweet. I gave it as a gift to my bro.

Walking Dead has supposedly been picked up by a studio for a feature length movie.

As for this series, thus far it looks and feels like typical zombie fare.

Well, the classics are the best in my opinion.
But your typical zombie fare, is pretty damn awesome. When's this actually on?

Btw, The Lizard...I checked out the zombie survival guide, that worth getting too?

That's only if they can sustain this series that long before the network tries to have their way with it.

The only place it's going to stand a chance is a Cable channel, but then again BLADE THE SERIES didn't stand a chance.

pretty sure this didnt get picked up... so im assuming ti will never be on.
