i rented this movie last night after seeing a trailer for it online, and i have to say it's really freaking great.
the story focuses on 18 year old green graves, a kid who lives in a trailer in alabama with his soft spoken mother and abusive step father. he stands apart from the other kids in his town because of his fascination with horror films and speacial effects make up. throughout the film he has to deal with his poverty, his sub par family life, a religious group who thinks he worships satan, and gets to nail laura prepon!!!
this movie really surprised with the way it seemed to slide between cliche's and kind of switches between genre's. has anyone else seen it? i searched but didn't find another thread, so im sorry if there already is one. seriously, though, the movie rocks.
