Didn't see a thread for this, but saw this film the other day and it was damn entertaining and very very good. The performances were excellent and Bradley Cooper was actually excellent in the film. I think he would have made a better fit for Green Lantern in all honesty after seeing him in this.

This film is sort of a twisted Superhero origin tale in away, the visual shots and the cinematography were awesome and just really unique and stylized. It was definitely a fast paced slick action adventure/thriller type film with a major hero twist angle to it.

*****SPOILER*****
The end part where he's all souped up with these superhuman abilities and powers, and how he's now Senator, it was awesome it really reminded me vaguely of Deus Ex Machina - They REALLY need to get on the ball and make that film... easily one of the best comics but the ending scene here almost seemed like a bit of a wink to that whole thing ie, Senator now potential possible superhero...

I enjoyed it. As you say, it's an entertaining, slick, well directed and funny (without turning into an action-comedy) action thriller. And Bradley Cooper is excellent in it... He really shines as potential leading man material in this IMO.

I don't really see it as a superhero parrallel but there is a definite wink at the end that a sequel, while not directly set up, is possible, most likely having [BLACKOUT]Coopers character come into conflict with De Niros character[/BLACKOUT]

Just saw the movie and don’t have a clue WTF you are talking about, I suggest you edit this post because its misleading and was in part why I went to see the movie.

Anyway not a bad film nothing to scream home about but it was enjoyable.

This movie looks so bad. The premise looks like a what-if scenario you would joke about with your friends when you're intoxicated.

But the fact it the movie is actually really good. Fresh, dynamic, Cooper is great and it reminds me Fight Club a lil bit.

8/10

SatEl, so being able to see so well ahead and predict and accident based on connecting the dots based on pure vision alone and be almost right all the time, being able to put your hand on someone's chest and tell him that his aortic valve is stented and he's in heart failure as his heart walls are dilated...

Those are very much enhanced well BEYOND the scope of current human ability... HENCE super human

lol you're right, you don't know wtf i'm talking about cuz you didn't even pay attention or bother watching the film... next time, try watching and pay attention to a film before trying to sound all cool when you just sounded completely idiotic. All of what I said in my quick review is completely accurate and not misleading... grow up

My bad, was having a bad day and decided to play the part of a *****e. When you initially mention Superhuman abilities my first thought was telekinesis and the likes an ability usually attributed and linked to being able to use 100% of the brain in some mediums. Anyway the film was great far better than I initially gave it credit for 9/10.

Decent movie. Much better than anticipated. For those who have seen it, I do have a couple questions that I felt went unanswered:

Did Cooper's character kill the blonde girl? If not, who did?

Also...

Was he really off the meds at the end of the film or was it up to the audience to come to their own conclusion?

Not only was he off the meds but he made the effects of the meds permanent not needing the meds anymore

This movie was so amazing, i'll prolly will be buying this as soon as it comes out. Anyone think Medication will get this far?

I thought the movie was very good. Cooper had to carry this entire movie and I thought he did a great job.

Saw it the other day. Best film of the year so far for me. 8/10

i am suprised that more people didnt see this movie.it was entertaining.

but did he kill the girl or not?

^Definitely entertaining but at times ridiculous and over-the-top.

No. The mobster's henchman killed her to frame Eddie so that he would hire the lawyer who would steal the drug.

As for this movie, it was alright. I didn't care for how easily everything wrapped up for Eddie. He did some things that were at best morally grey and there was no consequence for that.

oh that makes sense. it was so simple in the movie. this is the last time i watch a movie half a sleep.

Just saw this. It was pretty good. Like Hunter said earlier I didnt like how nicely everything wrapped up, I read the book has a darker ending but IM not sure exactly what happens. I also wish there was more Deniro and Abbie Cornish was reallly unnecessary in it, she just popped in and out.

BUt I liked the story, the direction, and Cooper was good in the role.

Hated it. Ridiculous concept that a high teenager hanging out with his friends would come up with...

"What if, like, there was a pill...that made you smarter?!"

Seriously? These are the films that get green-lit? Cooper was good, the direction was good despite the stupid concept, and the visuals were nice.

I don't understand how you think that's ridiculous but you have a guy that took an injection to make him stronger in your avatar. You're free to not like the movie, whatever, but I don't see how you think one's alright but not the other.

Limitless is set in a real world (Except for the fact that a pill to take full advantage of your brainpower exists). I didn't like how they melded the realistic setting with the whole pill idea.

Cap has a completely different tone and approach to its story and characters that I certainly appreciate more. It takes full advantage of its animated characters and over-the-top story.

Limitless doesn't present explanations in a realistic manner, when characters act like they do in the real world.

That is my MAIN gripe.

Watched this tonight and enjoyed it, Cooper just keeps improving with every role in my eyes and here was no different, great role which was well acted, plot was pretty good too, very enjoyable, 8/10.

I think Bradley Cooper's best work is still ahead of him. I watched him on Inside the Actor's studio recently and that interviews makes me want to root for him more.

I thought Limitless was good

what the hell, bullets!?

I've been trying to get the right number of posts so I could have that same exact avatar.

Sheesh!:cmad:
