The world of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to get even more geektastic.
Former Xena star Lucy Lawless is heading to ABC's super series in Season 2, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Exclusive: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. meets Agent Carter in Comic-Con poster
In true Marvel fashion, details on her role and how long she'll be sticking around are being kept under wraps. (Call off the Level 7 snipers now, please!)
Lawless is also known for her roles on Spartacus, Battlestar Galactica and Parks and Recreation.

No matter who she plays, getting her is a major boon for the show. If she's going to be a regular (hopefully) then she'll elevate the quality of the show 100 fold! Yay!!!

I'm hoping she'll play a villain since Lucretia was a legendary bad-ass on Spartacus!

That is AWESOME news!

I'm hoping for either Abigail Brand (along with an introduction of SWORD now that SHIELD has fallen) or possibly Madame Hydra (to continue the threat of Hydra, unless there is a conflict with the appearance of Viper in The Wolverine).

I'm not sure what the licence restrictions would be, but if they introduce HAMMER to replace SHIELD, then I guess she could also be Deidre Wentworth.

I just hope that she lasts longer than Victoria Hand!

I'll also fan-cast the Flawless Lawless as Jessica Drew. I doubt it would be permitted under the existing licensing arrangements, but a fan can dream!

An older, alternate Black Widow (i.e. Yelena) might also be cool.

Melinda May vs Xena.

PUH-lease. Xena battled soldiers, warlords, demi-gods, gods, demons, ghosts, the devil and entire armies! Melinda May is impressive, but Xena would slaughter her with a single throw of her mighty chakram.

Now Melinda May vs "Mary Maloney" (the possible casting name for Lucy Lawless' character) may be a whole other event! Preferably, the kind with jelly, bikinis and pay per view.
