A Brooklyn woman is in critical condition after her husband hacked her repeatedly with a meat cleaver in their Dyker Heights apartment yesterday morning. 54-year-old Shao Ling Ye was sweeping up during breakfast when, according to her husband, Youshening Huang, "She swept over my feet and that really sparked it." Neighbors tell the Daily News they heard Huang, 53, shout, "I've put up with you for all these years!" A dazed and bleeding Shao Ling Ye was then seen stumbling out into the street, gushing blood. Candice Meng, 21, who lives in the basement, tells the post, "There was blood all over her. I just heard her shouting, 'Help!' We came out and she was lying there with her husband standing next to her looking down at her. He was showing no remorse. He asked me if he could come down and wash his hands." Ye is in critical condition with gashes to her head, arm, chest and finger; Huang is charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Joseph Tsang, whose parents rent the apartment to Huang, seemed shocked, telling the Daily News, "He's a really peaceful guy. He goes jogging around the neighborhood."

Ladies, let that be a lesson..........sweep the right way damn it

I'm pretty sure her poor sweeping wasn't the actual reason he snapped.

Yeah, that sparked things built up, her ****** sweeping was just what set it off.

I mean no one can be that bad of a sweeper.

I'm sure the way she dusted irritated him too...

Sounds like he was a little "hacked off".

(I was waiting for someone to start the jokes :o)

Guess he couldn't love her long time.

I guess his next wife will think twice when she does housework though.

Maybe she should be the one who does the hacking to her hubby for being such a lazy bum who doesn't do houseworks.

I'm appalled that he isn't being charged with attempted murder.

notice how all the crazy murder types are just "so peaceful"

I read that they were separated but still living together. I think they did little thigns to irritate each other.

This guy belongs in prison though and he should be put on sweeping duty

Imagine what would've happened if she had been mopping.

Yes, then the housewife would've been smart there because she could mopped over his feet on purpose so when he tries to hack her, he can slip constantly.

Any update on this story? She was in critical condition, has she died yet or will she survive? Sorry I don't have any morbid jokes to share.

Well, what had happened to her sure has sweep the nation.
I am sure someone had made sure to update it somewhere on the internet, and possibly some dirt on the husband too.

A man who used a meat cleaver to bloody his ex-wife three weeks after they got divorced was held on bail Tuesday, as the victim recovered in a Brooklyn hospital.

Relatives said Yousheng Huang and Shao Ling Ye were legally split up but still shared a Dyker Heights apartment.

They tried to stay out of each other's way, sleeping in separate bedrooms. They argued, but things apparently had never gotten physical before Monday. "This is the first time my uncle ever have any violence," said Huang's nephew, who refused to give his name.

Huang, 53, was charged with attempted murder and assault. During a brief court appearance Tuesday, a judge ordered him to pay $100,000 bail or stay in jail.

Ye, 54, suffered a fractured skull and required more than 30 stitches to close multiple gashes, Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Brooke Derian said.

Her condition has been upgraded from critical to stable at Lutheran Medical Center.

Authorities said Ye accidentally swept dust onto Huang's feet while she cleaned Monday morning. Huang snapped, grabbed a meat cleaver and started swinging, prosecutors said.

He admitted to the crime, authorities said.

"I've put up with you for all these years!" neighbors said Huang screamed in Chinese.

The couple had been married for 25 years.

Relatives said in addition to the sweeping snafu, Huang was angry that much of the money he had earned as a currency trader was in Ye's name.

They argued frequently, the suspect's nephew said. But until Monday, anytime the discussion got too heated, Huang would leave the 67th St. apartment to stay with him.

"He is a very nice guy, and he always helps the family," the nephew said. "There were never any problems. Actually, this really surprised us."
