Man proposes to woman at UCLA game, who promptly walks away

I'm going to propose to you on screen, in front of a bunch of people, with a microphone in our faces, no pressure or anything.

That said, that looked kind of staged. Both of their reactions were a bit hammy.

Yeah, it does look a little suspicious but who knows.

If they went through the trouble of doing a fake proposal, they could've at least done it at a Lakers game.

Is it really not known yet public proposals at games are fake?

I truly felt bad for him...dump her

He can always get back together with her later on, then dump her. :o

The Revenge dump, classic. :p

This is probably staged so both can get their 15 minutes.

It might be staged, but I doubt it is. Crap happens. They're muttering to each other outside the mic range and he says "Yeah, I'm serious." We can't hear what she says.

With today's special effects and Photoshop people hardly believe anything. Not that I really blame them....

looks fake, didn't something like this happen before a year or so ago and it was stated was fake too?

I never understood the appeal of asking for marriage in such a public place anyway.

You guys thought it was fake? My face was like this :wow: afterwards lol.

I would never do a public proposal, just not something I could ever bring myself to do.

I work the video board at the University of Iowa and during each home game we get requests for at least 4 proposals. Thing is we don't put the proposal on camera as it's tough to find the people in a stadium with 70,000. So they pay us $300 to put just words on the screen. Like Stacy will you marry me, love Tom. What a waste of $300 and a horrible way to propose.
