What are your thoughts on this? Was the guy justified in protecting his dog, or was the kangaroo just giving his new dog friend a hug? Please discuss.

the kangaroo had already released the dog, before he throw the punch

maybe you could argue that it was self defense cause the kangaroo squared up to him, and he just got the first hit in

but it seemed like he was more just doing out of spite/ revenge

its also worth mentioning that it was hunting dog... so really the kangaroo was also acting in self defense (they say right int he video...the kangaroo has the dog, the dog doesn't have the kangaroo) suggesting that they sent the dog after the kangaroos

Meh, he was protecting his pack, that's what you do. It's like if you're in a bar, you come back from the bathroom and some tough guy is trying to choke out one of your friends. Even if he looks like he's backing off, you've got to give him a shot to make it clear what's up. And your dog is 100-times more important than any of our scumbag drunk buddies.

He wasn't gratuitously violent either, he just gave the 'roo a "receipt" and walked away with his dogs.
