March 19 'Supermoon' Might Trigger Natural Disasters

Since I'm sure a werewolf joke has been made by now, I'll attempt a Majora's Mask joke and play my orcarina to go back in time if it turns out the moon's closeness does bring about our destruction.

:awesome:

I was totally on board with O'Reilly on this. God loves us, so he gave us a broken night light that only works for a few days each month. :hrt:

But then I did some reading and, even though he's right about Venus having no moons, he's incorrect about Mars. Mars has two moons, which means that O'Reilly is saying that God loves a barren rock twice as much as he loves the people of Earth. I also found out that Jupiter has 63 moons (at the least!), which means that he loves Jupiter... like... a lot. God loves a fartball with a huge zit on it more than Earth? NOT IN MY BACK YARD! :cmad:

Bill O'Reilly is anti-American, anti-Earth, and probably washes with Herbal Essences while sharing his shower with little green men, and that's why this American will no longer be giving his show more ratings. :argh:

It's very plausible though, maybe not the dates but certainly about a major quake in the west coast. It's been talked about for years and years.

If Shogun loses tomorrow night his rabid band of fanboys will use this as an excuse. "Man if Jon Jones didn't have the Moon bigger Shogun would have soccer stomped him in the first round. Shogun is still undefeated when he's healthy or when the Moon isn't full."

I agree, we're long overdue for a big one. The thing I don't fully believe in is that it will happen this weekend with the whole moon thing going on. Maybe it will...who knows.

All I know is just in case, I'm stocking up on some supplies. Better to be safe than sorry.

The only "super moon" I'm vaguely interested in has pigtails, a miniskirt, and kills monsters using a magic kaleidoscope with a sword handle.

I don't really believe in all this, but I thought this would be a bit entertaining for some.

Yeah, I don't really buy what he said either, but it's very interesting. At least he backed up his **** with some sort of scientific fact.

Man, I hope that big quake aint in Vancouver. That Cascadia fault line is believed to unleash a 9.0 or higher in the next 50 years. Last thing Canada needs in it's economic recovery is a huge ****ing Earthquake/Tsunami.

Of course I don't want a big quake in California either, but I'm Canadian so I do have to be a little more worried....

Yeah, a huge quake in either area definitely would suck. I live in CA and I'm not looking forward to anything like that.

Khonshu is being an a**hole...

Supermoon Phenomenon

New Delhi: The website of the man who's triggered a minor worldwide frenzy. Richard Nolle is an astrologer, not a scientist. And he says the Moon is triggering horrible natural disasters on earth. Here's how.

The Moon orbits Earth in an oval shaped or elliptical orbit. Its distance from earth varies, depending on where it is in this orbit. A full moon night, at a time when the moon is closest to earth, is called a Super Moon by astrologer Richard Nolle.

On March 19, the full moon will be about 356,577 km away, the closest it's been in 18 long years. Richard Nolle says such days have always been disastrous.

From hurricanes in Texas, to earthquakes in central Asia, from cyclones in Australia to volcanic eruptions in the Philippines, Nolle has a long list of tragedies that occurred on or near a Super Moon night. But scientists aren't all that convinced.

Mila Mitra, Scientific Officer, SPACE said, "In 2005, Hurricane Katrina was at least ten days off from Super Moon night. In 1974, there was Cyclone Tracy, but it was at least a month off from target."

Astrologer Richard Nolle says, "Japan's present tragedy was also caused by the moon swinging too close to earth. But scientists brush that claim aside."

Mitra said, "The moon was nowhere close to its lowest point. It was closer to its furthest point, at 390,000 kilometers. There should be no co-relation at all."

While astrologers and scientists fight it out, we suggest you roll out your telescopes and enjoy Saturday night. The moon will be brighter and bigger than anything you've seen in the last eighteen years.

The skies have been clear so far today. Hopefully the clouds don't roll in.

We're all going to die!

At first I was gonna say 'It's 3:39 pm est....still alive.' Then I realizied seconds later that the moon is at night time

:awesome: Good thing I'm watching Paul in theaters in a bit and then Jay and Silent bob strike back on dvd!
