Marches, Protests, and Petitions

Dude, pretty much every college campus in America has been taken over by the extreme Left. Most of the professors and teachers are ultra Liberal prognosticators who are out to convert and brainwash the minds of the younger generation. This has been going on for years. It's a known fact.

There's infinitely more brainwashing going on in so-called houses of "God". People in their early 20's are much more of a finished product than small children. Plus, none of that 'learnin and science stuff converts into much political power. All it means is kids in college read Toni Morrison. And there's no shortage of right wing figures that have been educated at elite universities, including some of the most vile people on the far right like Richard Spencer and Steve Bannon.

Even if this were true, who has more power, some kids and professors on a college campus or the President?

You seem to demand more accountability for these professors then you do the President, which seems totally out of whack with common sense.

The GOP will present a neo liberal empyt suit like Hillary Clinton as being too left wing, I am beginning to think parts of the GOP think anyone to the left of Francisco Franco is too left wing.

Well, to answer your question, the college professors have more influence and power than the President in that way. The President is a talking head to these college-aged students. He is the one being dissected and open to criticism. There is enough distance between them and him where he can be seen as fallible.

The ultra-Left college professors are authority figures. They lecture classes every day. They grade exams. They are everyday authority figures who are flesh and bone to said college students. They are in a perfect position to convert and brainwash these kids and they continue to do so.

Except that they don't. Chaseter even provided an article where the author set out to find out if "brainwashing" happens and found out that it actually doesn't.

So you're being an alarmist for nothing.

You don't get it, the President has far more power then these professors will ever have. The professors can't set policies that affect the entire country and the world.

Also college students are not robots that these professors can just program, so I think you are over estimating their power.

Really if Clinton was President, I might be willing to humor your complaints about left wing professors, but now that Trump won, I have no patience for right wingers who bring up such trivial things.

Left wing professors will be the least of America's worries if Trump crashes the economy, ruins the environment or even starts a nuclear incident.

Trump will be responsible for a dramatic increase in anti American sentiment across the globe, not these professors.

I'm sorry but it is you who doesn't get it. Of course the President has more actual power in terms of policy making (even though, as we are seeing right now, even that is extremely limited). College professors and faculty at colleges have more power in terms of INFLUENCE. They are authority figures in the lives of students every day, lecture to them, grade their papers, speak them at a one on one level, etc. They are in a much greater position to influence young and impressionable people.

Also college students are not "robots" but they are young and impressionable and are easily swayed.

"Trivial Things"? Are you insane? How is a political party openly trying to brainwash young people trivial? Look at the facts. There were Liberal professors goading on students during the violent protests. And even now that kid the other day got suspended for recording and releasing a lecture from his teacher that was so partisan Liberal and anti-government, it was shocking to listen to in a college setting.

Also:

1. Crash the economy? Wall Street is currently killing it.
2. When has Trump indicated he plans on nuclear war? Or any war? All he has done so far is propose cracking down on immigration from foreign countries. Something Barrack Obama himself did with Iraq and you didn't see morons causing destruction on their own streets and attacking people over.
3. The environment thing I agree with. That pipeline he agreed to and his support of fracking and whatnot is kind of sketchy.

Preachers have a lot more influence over people than professors, especially in a high emotion, low thought country like the US. Not only that, but they influence and control people and then ask for money for making you submit to their control.

Yeah, right wingers never try to brainwash and influence people:

You really think the President and some random college professor are equal in influence? That is laughable, what evidence do you have that professors put undo influence on their students. Maybe students are left wing because young people tend to be left wing and there has been a left wing student movement since the 60s.You have provided no proof for your theory, just hear say.

You think some left wing professors change the balance of power, where you have a center right and a far right power competing for power in America?

Also Wall Street doing well at the moment means nothing, that is based on speculation and if Trump does cause a trade war, then he could crash the economy.

I will admit to being facetious on the nuclear comment, but I stand by my environmental concerns over him.

If Trump ruins the environment, will you still think left wing professors are the biggest problem around?

I am really getting annoyed with Republicans who think they are a oppressed people because of some left wing celebrities and professors, when Republican politicians use gerrymandering and voter suppression to get ahead. Who really games the system and has the real power?

I spoke with my financial adviser and he told me we were due for a market correction (i.e. crash, if you want to call it that) in a couple more years.

Nobody said either side was innocent. And I am an Independent. I have voted for Democrats and Republicans. In the 2016 election I pissed my vote away on a third party candidate just because I thought Trump and Clinton were equally bad.

And OF COURSE college professors have more influence over their students than the President. I have explained this several times now. To them, the President represents "The Man" to them and is a guy on TV who makes speeches. No matter who is on office, there is a disconnect. Teachers and immediate authority figures are EVERY DAY. They have a direct and personal influence on students.

My evidence of extreme Liberals in positions of higher education using their authority to influence impressionable youths? Dude just do a Google search or any research. There was a student suspended a few days ago (I don't remember which college) for posting a video of his female professor doing a 20 minute tirade against Conservatives. Liberal teachers are in film egging on and encouraging their students in violent protests that got many of them charged with Felonies (aka, good luck finding a job). It is not only irresponsible and scandalous, but they are straight contributing to destroying the future of their students.

And you are talking out of your ass when you say the current economic and Wall Street spike "means nothing." No. It is a direct result of who is in office. There will be pressure to keep jobs from going overseas for cheaper labor by cutting taxes so American businesses and said tax cuts incentivize domestic businesses to hire American and, thus, benefit the country. They are creating more workers and tax payers.
