WCW was awesome in '97-'98 compared to TNA,I'd say '99-'00 WCW!!
That's what I meant.

Agreed. He can talk and he can hold a promo.I actually like Barrett on the mic and alright in the ring. Shame because he had some of the best vignettes I've ever seen, at least in modern wrasslin'.
That already sounds 10x better than what he's currently doing. I think he'd get over well as a top heel if booked right. Sort of as a sneaky, cerebral, win by any means type. This saddens me, because I've seen great potential for Barrett. If I were writing for WWE I'd take him in a wholly different direction. He's insanely generic right now, and I think that's why he's suffering. I'd love to see him take on a "Jack the Ripper"-esque persona, just taking out different people outside the ring, really play up the "gentleman brawler" aspect. Since he's British I think it would work really well, but then again I don't write for WWE![]()

Half-assed, backwards assed, illogical WWE booking!![]()
No, you didn't mean that.

My problem with modern WWE is that they don't give their talent consistent characters that they can naturally develop, so that if/when they ARE eventually given "top" spots they're a) already established and b) easily recognizable. WWE has been so flip-floppy with their characters lately its been, just....![]()
ROH TV taping spoilers for next month:
Episode 1 (July 6th 2013)
- Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander def. John Silver & Alex Reynolds via Overtime (Leaping hurricanrana into frog splash combo).
- Nigel McGuinness revealed that Mark Briscoe is out of Steel Cage Warfare due to an injury sustained at Best in the World. Kevin Steen comes out and demands to be Marks replacement, this led to SCUM interfering and taking out Steen. However, Team ROH made the save, indicating that Steen may be on Team ROH after all.
- MsChif def. Veda Scott via Obliteration (Second rope piledriver).
- Adam Page def. Silas Young via Victory Roll. After the match, Silas beat down Page.
- ROH World TV Title match: Matt Taven def. Eddie Edwards via modified DDT.
Episode 2 (July 13th 2013)
- Tommaso Ciampa def. QT Marshall via running knee. Prince Nana watched on from the entrance way.
- Mike Bennett def. an unnamed local wrestler in a squash match. After the match Bennett claims that ROH has begged him to stay and then he tried to hand the contract to Cheeseburger who had come to the ring. He instead attack him which sees Brutal Bob hit the ring to aid the attack but Bennett turns on him before proclaiming that The Prodigy is dead.
- Jay Briscoe comes down for a promo and says he may be hurt but hes still breathing. He says Matt Hardy will have to pry the title from his cold hands.
- ROH World Tag Team Title match: reDRagon def. C&C Wrestle Factory via chasing the dragon. The American Wolves, SCUM and Adrenaline RUSH brawled at ringside during the match.
Episode 3 (July 20th 2013)
- Roderick Strong def. Adam Cole via DQ. Strong called out Cole after the cheap finish to last nights match at Best In The World and it led to another match. There was a ref bump at one point which allowed Steve Corino to throw a chain into the ring. Strong tried to get rid of it before Cole used it and got disqualified.
- ROH World Title match: Jay Briscoe def. Matt Hardy via small package. Post match, both Team ROH and Team SCUM hit the ring and begin to brawl. Rhino hits a gore on Jay Briscoe before Hardy steals the World Title, wears it and smashes Jays arm in a steel chair. SCUM stand tall heading into Steel Cage Warfare.
Episode 4 (July 27th 2013)
- The American Wolves def. Mike Sydal & an unknown partner via top rope double stomp from Davey Richards.
- Steel Cage Warfare: Team ROH (BJ Whitmer, Jay Lethal, Michael Elgin & Kevin Steen) def. SCUM (Jimmy Jacobs, Rhett Titus, Cliff Compton & Rhino). SCUM won the con flip and will get the man advantage. Jacobs and Whitmer start the match off. Titus in next followed by Elgin and Compton. Whitmer is the first to be eliminated before Jay Lethal and Rhino enter and the latter is eliminated by Lethal. Steen is the last entrant and is immediately attacked by Hardy. The cage door is left open and all the guys quickly spill out of the ring.
Titus is the next to eliminated by Lethal but he is then pinned by Compton after a chair shot. Elgin managed to eliminate Compton but Unbreakable is the next out after a fireball from Steve Corino. Corino tries to do the same to Steen but Nigel makes the save and helps Steen pin Jacobs as Team ROH wins! SCUM have to disband per the stipulations of the match. Adam Cole is on the entranceway but Nigel tells SCUM to leave. Jacobs leaves on his own accord as Hardy and Corino require security.
So ROH brings in Matt Hardy, Rhino, Cliff Compton and Steve Corino to essentially replace Daniel Bryan, Antonio Cesaro, Kassius Ohno, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn.
Not a roster upgrade at all. And I wonder if Matt is still slamming tornadoes and dry humping seas.
I actually hope Matt and Cliff get released so that they can actually scout for young talents throughout the indie scene. Rhino can still put on some solid matches and I hope they keep Corino. Oh and get rid of Rhett Titus. Just no more WWE rejects.
I got out of ROH when Bryan signed with the WWE the first time in 2009.
BTW, I think Bryan will be WWE Champion by beating John Cena. Remember, they are future brothers-in-law.
Oh and Scarlett Bordeaux looked so fine. I won't post the wardrobe malfunction gifs for obvious reasons.....

Thank Zod Hardy didn't win the ROH Title. If they were heading six feet deep last year, Hardy winning the belt would put them completely under. And the last great year in ROH was in 2010.
Signing with WWE developmental (FCW): "When I signed the contract I was homeless. I literally was homeless. I had just come out of a very rough situation personally. I was working three jobs around the clock and training, body-building and wrestling. Traveling two days a week. I wasn't sleeping. I had to choose between saving money and getting an apartment or paying child support to take care of my children. I chose the latter of the two. I would drive to Philly (an eight hour drive from OH) just to get a shot to work with PWX.
"So when I got that contract, I cried. It was surreal. I never thought anything like that could happen to me in my life. I was literally sleeping in my truck or on a friend's couch. The contract became effective two days before my birthday in 2008. I moved from OH to Tampa FL that month and it happened to be the week of Wrestlemania 28. When I got that I found myself on with. the Big Show. I literally went from being homeless to being on WrestleMania. I didn't expect it. I was feeling something big was coming because things were starting to go right but I never would have thought in a million years it would be WWE. I was very, very thankful for it. And every year I was on WWE I made it my goal to work arder than everyone else and not let it ever be said anyone worked harder than me. I'd stay after practice sometimes. Sometimes turn the lights off. I worked hard to keep this opportunity to take care of my children that I would never ever thought I'd get."
His reaction when he was going to be put into the Nexus angle: "Well, we didn't know. We had no idea about the Nexus until the night it debuted. And there it is. The idea came from a SmackDown episode. WWE is entertainment, but Wade Barrett is a legitimate, natural-born leader. He was approached with something that ended up becoming the Nexus. He approached us and he handled ambiance and told us to go out and destroy everything. And if we did not destroy everything we would get fired and lose our jobs. Told us not to tell anyone. No one was supposed to know. We got back there that night in Miami. And we destroyed everything. It was a very special weekend. The night before that was my daughter's birthday. It was a very special experience. I am very thankful for that experience."
What caused the Nexus angle to fizzle out: "There's always something going on backstage, but what's important is the product. The product is the most important hing. Well, really the fans are the most important things. But regardless of what's going on backstage it's about what you do in that ring in front of the cameras. We did everything we could. The Nexus was a wonderful story line and great opportunity. There were a lot of things about my issues with John Cena. I have nothing against John Cena. I'm his biggest fan. I still watch him every week. It's all about what you do in the ring. At the end of the day, you need to be able to do your job, no matter what's going on. I believe a lot of things could have been done differently. But it's not about what I believe. It's still something that was very different. We were different because we were 'rookies'. What we were doing had not been done. The way we did it had not been done. The honor of being compared to the ranks of those people is something I'll always be grateful for. It is what it is. I'm proud of those guys. They're great guys. Those guys are extremely talented and I'm happy to see that. The Nexus was something very special. There was a match on Smack Down and all you heard was 'We want Nexus.' It's very special."
His thoughts on the current product: "I'm always watching, I'm always studying. I always want to get better. I want to show the world that I'm as talented as I know that I am. I whole-heartedly believe that I can go toe to toe with John Cena and CM Punk and get the microphone and go toe to toe with them. And I know from experience that I can hold my own with anyone in the world. But me knowing I can is different from the rest of the world knowing that I can. So I always keep that chip on my shoulder and I train extremely hard and it keeps me hungry. So I keep that humility about me. If it's 50 people or 500 I pretend it's five or ten thousand people. I found that at the end of the day I know how to perform."
His potential dream matches: "Kurt Angle is a dream match. I'd love to be in the ring with Kurt Angle. I've been in the ring with Randy Orton, but I'd love to have a face-to-face, one on one with Randy Orton. I've been in the ring with him but would love to go one-on-one, go strike to strike. Bobby Roode... we could do somethingspecial. James Storm. A lot of guys. Legendary and current."
If he would join TNA: "I don't know about that, but. (Chuckles). I visited TNA a year or two ago. It was cool. It was fun and exciting. Don't know you'll see me, but I will always be a fan. I used to watch TNA years ago. Bat girl used to come out. Been watching it from back then. Definitely a huge fan and they definitely have my support."
Many of the ROH guys from 2005 to 2010 have left for the WWE. Punk, Bryan, Ohno, Cesaro, Zayn, Rollins, Luke Harper, Corey Graves and Sami Callihan.
