Marvel D*** Move Towards DC

I spoke to my LCS dude today about these. He said that the issues in question actually came with by back guarantees from DC - meaning anything unsold could have been sent back for a refund. I had no idea thought that was interesting.

He said he just sees it as a bit fo a weird petty move from Marvel.

Well, that is really weird then. I can't see why anyone in their right mind would send any back. I mean, surely a buy-back is more valuable than some idiot variant (I've never really understood the appeal...)

Variants can be worth money in the future if kept in good condition.

Think about it, they are rare collectors items. In 50 years time you could stick one on the ebay and it'll get you a decent bit of money.

Then again, DC had some ****in balls to pull the whole "buy 50 of this issue and then you can pay more money for a bag of rings that you're supposed to give out for free" thing.
