Almost The Same Characters With Marvel and DC

Quasar is far closer to Green Lantern in powers, though. Plus, he was appointed protector of the universe by a cosmic being, not unlike how GLs are appointed guardians of their sector by cosmic beings.

But are we talking about power or origin? This is about CHARACTER. As far as that goes, I'd say Nova loosely corresponds to Firestorm. Ronnie Firestorm, that is.

Well, as far as character goes, it'd depend on the Green Lantern. Kyle Rayner's a lot like Peter Parker, but Hal Jordan's nothing like him.

yeah, nova is greenlantern... you take away the powers and you got the same theme.

I have always thought character wise Nightwing and Cyclops were pretty close...however Nightwing physically and ability wise is far closer to DareDevil.

I have done some DC+Marvel stuff in my art thread.

You got it pretty much covered.

The only person I can think of that is slightly compareable to Hourman is Sentry. In the sense of a guy addicted to his powers. WHich as of now, isn't really a factor anymore for either character.

Uh, Everybody else has pretty much been named so far. How about Wolverine and Timberwolf from the Legion of Superheros.

Yeah, but it doesn't apply to either of them anymore. Plus the Sentry's powers are a hell of a lot more complicated than a simple addiction. Hourman was addicted to Miraclo, he popped a Miraclo pill, and he gained his powers. The Sentry was addicted to normal drugs, drank his serum, became the Void, and created a second, physical body with the Sentry's powers to oppose him in some twisted, schizophrenic need for balance.

I don't get this one...

Hour Man is sort of a copy version of Superman, and US Agent is a copy version of Captain America.

Mind telling me how Hourman is a copy of Superman? All he has is some enhanced capabilities. No flight, no superbreath etc.

I wouldn't really say they're similar to the Watchers, either, considering they not only intervene in other species' affairs, they've appointed themselves the highest authority in the whole universe and armed their "cops" pretty damn well to patrol it.

They are both one of the oldest species of alien in each of their comics, The Guardians (Elders, oops) saw the creation of the universe and the Watchers have watched countless species evolve like Earth. And they both act like the highest authority. Thats what I was going for.

about Hour Man,
Originally didn't he drink a chemical that gave him superman powers for an hour? I thought I read that on a cover of an old Hourman comic, "Powers of Superman, but only for an Hour"

Like I said, not anymore.

Well if he didn't do it to gain Superman's poweers, or to try and help superman, then strike that one from the record. But I am almost certain that I read that somewhere, like on a cover of an old Hourman comic being shown in wizard.

oh and
Sgt. Rock-DC
Nick Fury-Marvel

Intergang-DC
Maggia-Marvel

The only powers Hourman had was super strength (Like around the 45 - 65 ton range, I saw him hit somebody with a train car once, so, he's strong, but not, Superman strong.) increased agility, and stamina. Thats about it.

I've always felt that, personality wise, the Thing and Robot Man from Doom Patrol were an even match.

I think the best Sentry analogue is not DC at all. I'm not saying who it is, though. *cough*kimota*coughcough*

Seriously, he's such a rip on that guy, it's like not even funny.

I also think Aquaman and Namor are only occasionally like each other.
And Hourman did used to have the same powers as Superman, but Supes got a bunch of new ones since then...

Especially with the revelations about the Void, I've come to agree more and more with you on that one rigel (and I vehemently opposed it in the beginning, heh).
