To be honest I didn't even read the Batman story. However stupid the Cap story might have been the end result was it brought Cap back and that trumps bring Bruce back any way you slice it!

The Killing Joke. Probably the best Batman story ever. Probably the best single issue story ever in all of comics. KLH is up there.....but it can't beat TKJ.
