Eh, I'll go with the Shi'ar Empire. There are lots of little things I don't like about the Sinestro Corps, but DnA made the Shi'ar a really awesome interstellar civilization in War of Kings. They even made me like appreciate Vulcan, which is impressive by any standard.

Sinestro I thought Shi'ar were great when I was first introduced to them. However like many things related to the Phoenix Saga they've been overused in the same mold.While the Sinestro corp is the ying to the yang of the Green Lanterns.

That's my problem with them, actually. The GLC's got Hal, the Sinestro Corps gets Sinestro. The GLC's got Kilowog, the Sinestro Corps gets Arkillo. The GLC had that dude who was basically a face-ball with little arms and legs, the Sinestro Corps gets that dude who's also a face-ball with little arms and legs but is clearly evil because he has scary-ass fangs instead of normal teeth. It's like they cut-and-pasted "dark" versions of half the GLC to create the Sinestro Corps. There are a few very original standouts like Kryb, but they're few and far between.
