Update: A lot of you are going to hate this one. So, regarding these Meteor votes...

I'm not trying to repel anyone, still post how you want. But its not really fun for me to look through all the post at the end of a round and see the same repeated word over and over again, so I'm making those kinds of votes count towards the characters. Meteor, Typeface, votes for "Condiment King/Kite-Man/Yo Momma" when the choices were specific Marvel hero x DC guy, will just count for (in this case) either of the represented characters.

So you're really forcing us to stop posting Meteor, etc.? We can't have fun at the expense of characters we don't like?

Sure, vote Meteors all you want. Its a compromise, vote "Meteor" or however you want, and now they'll count as a vote. Not every round is going to use the same A-listers. They all can't be Cap, Canary, Joker, etc.

I should apologize Wolf. You take a lot of time putting these together etc I shouldn't have spoken so harshly. You don't owe me anything.
Let me rephrase it to: the change bums me out. Now when characters are presented that I hate I can't comment without it counting in a way I don't want it to which will leave me commenting less.

But I appreciate what you do Wolf and I appreciate you being open to changing things.

Well I'm not going to keep anything in play that may be counterproductive to this thread. There are still options I can consider. I want to keep the game fun. And I want to ride this thread out to see how far it can go. But I want to enjoy it. There are characters you guys might not like.

If this game survives to round 2014 and the response is collectively negative, expect a change. But from my POV it's...not fun for me to tally up the votes and after, say, ten posts (let's be realistic, that's the average) for that round, eight of them either are the same filler response or a quote of that response. And I feel like my options are becoming smaller because some match ups I don't do because I have to consider if the characters aren't popular enough will anyone even care. So...

...for now, I'm voting Nightwing. New round tomorrow after my Bob's Burgers. And yes, I'm coming around on Flash. But Nightwing while we still got Dick.

For my part I'll try to be more constructive with my voting.

As for the round I vote Nightwing. They're similar for me in that I really like them both in theory but yet when I read their comics I generally don't like them.
So I'm voting Nightwing based on liking his look more and finding street level characters more interesting than an ultra speedster like him (realistically most of his enemies should be beaten before they can blink)
