If they made Marvel Zombies into a movie what would it take for you to see it?

1. Live action or cartoon
2. rating (PG-13 or R)
3. Line up of heroes used
4.director(If George Romero was tied to the project would it give you hope for the movie being good?)
5. Actors
6. story: stick to storyline of the comic or something like Return of the Living Dead a spoof type movie.

I thought the storyline was interesting and in terms of it being an horror movie it would be a first where the monsters are the heroes and the bad guy is a hero trying to fight off the zombies. Or do you think since the major Marvel heroes are tied into different movie studios the movie will never see the light of day?

Well... despite different companies having the rights I think a live action movie could never be because it would totally confuse general audiences. "Wait how did they become zombies?" "Aren't they good guys, why are they eating people?" I can hear it all now, people who don't read comics wouldn't get it. So animated is the only way to go IMO. And they should just stick to the original story, maybe add in a few extra A,B-listers and not kill as many of them off. It would need to be violent, cartoon or not it's about zombies! Make the zombie super-villain and Galactus fights longer and you got a fun movie. And make it long, like a 90 minute minimum so nothing feels rushed.

Its a real fun ride and all, but i think the Zombie story is WAY over hyped

If I were in charge I would goo all "Watchmen" on it, in the sense that instead of using the Marvel characters I would come up with all new characters with similar powers.
I would do this because, one there's no way it could be done as is with all the different rights at different companies,

Two, even if you used the original characters you would have to recast them all again differently from who was playing them in the films, which can be fairly disruptive.

Thirdly you wouldn't use big-name actors at all since that's the best way to ruin a zombie film, .

Fourth, with so many characters to cast you couldn't really focus on getting the "best person" for each character, and if you can't do that, then what's the point?

So I would change them and come up with new characters who would be to their marvel counterparts what Rorschach, Niteowl, and Doctor Manhattan are to The Question, Blue Beetle and Captain Atom.

Doing it that way you don't have to worry about any of the baggage that comes with the characters and you can just focus on telling the story of what it would be like in a world over-run by zombies where some of the zombified people are actual Super-powered beings. Unlike a straight Marvel Zombies adaptation, something like that actually COULD be plausible and wouldn't need to be just theoretical thread some fans make on a message board.

I think it should be nothing more then an animated direct to dvd release.
I'd enjoy it, visually its fun, but its a very shallow storyline.

was not a fan of MZ...i would watch the movie just because im a geek and thats what i do...

I guess being a big fan of the zombie genre it would be interesting seeing a movie where the heroes were the zombies and since they’re not your typical brand of zombie thoughtless, no soul and they do think about what they did it would have probably advance the genre in a different direction or at least get out of the cookie cutter mold most zombie movies find it self in. I agree on the difficulty of pulling off a project that huge and how it would handled, the more I thought about it the more I doubt it could happen in the live action. There is no way Sony is going to allow their cash cow become a web swinging flesh eating monster and risk alienating the young kids that buy things with his face on it, now on the other hand if it was 20th Century Fox I can see them turning the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Daredevil into zombies if it meant huge box office returns. As for story I agree whatever the movie length would be it would have to be extended by an hour to properly explain why every villain (not Mags) and every hero are zombies. And it’s pretty bleak when you think about if you’re an average movie viewer every hero is dead and they’re the ones looking for flesh to eat. And that would lead the studio to change the story around to suit the average movie viewer.

And violence is a question there been few zombies that had little to no blood in them and people still pay to see. And since its Marvel characters not some generic brand of heroes it would be disturbing for some to see Spider-Man attacking his love ones or heroes turning on each other if one happen to be infected.

motion capture film like Beowulf.

rated- R

Heroes: SPiderman, Hulk, The Thing, Iron Man, Captain America, and pretty much anyone they can get without a lawsuit.

Director: Sam Raimi (Since he's done a superhero movie and a monster movie)

Cast: A bunch of somebodies and a bunch of nobodies

Storyline: Follow the book...

marvel zombies vs ash .

spiderman , the avengers , fanastic four ,magneto , x-men . as many as i could get

rated r , directed by raimi .

based on the comic with different ending .

mostly unknowns would fill the roles. also cast bruce campbell.

It'll be decades before they'd get around to doing this.
They have so many origin stories to tackle, crossovers, super-teams...
I just don't see this as being on the priority list, especially not for live action... And Marvel Animation seems synonymous with "kid friendly".

It would be fun with Ash involved, but it sounds like a total fan movie, and big studios don't spend big dollars for fans.

It be a violent movie, so a huge chunk of their usually payload wouldn't be attending, it be quite expensive with the effects for the powers and prosthetics for the zombieness.

We'd be more likely to see this done in the way that Batman short with Aliens and Predators was made.
