It's by Kurt Busiek, the same writer as Marvels.
What exactly was wrong with the writing on Marvels? You know, other than being Eisner award winning, fan favorite, must read Marvel?
The only thing I can think of is that it wasn't Avengers Forever, which is obviously the greatest story ever told.
I don't know, I just didn't find it all that compelling. It was also way too expository and melodramatic. I don't care if it won an Eisner, that hardly affects my own opinion of the book.
I also started reading Astro City, which I'm finding even less interesting than Marvels. Is it even worth continuing?
That's odd from someone who says Lost is the greatest show ever. I mean, you want to talk about way too expository and melodramatic. WOW.
Darthphere said:You hate Astro City too? You should probably just stop reading comics at this point.
Lost is anything but expository. And while it may be melodramatic at times, I find something like Lost (or to use a comic example, Y: The Last Man) more compelling than Marvels.
I never said I hated it, and I never said I hated Marvels either. They're just not that fun to read and feel like more of a chore.
