Mega Man: The Movie

I’ll watch if it’s a musical. And if it’s just an adaptation of The Protomen.

Sure, why not? With the fast running blue hedgehog having his own movie, Capcom's nearly forgotten icon might as well have one.

Will it top the fan film from years ago?

Waiting for the rest of the title.

Mega Man: The Movie starring Milla Jovovich. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

An inappropriately sexy dystopian sci-fi film set in the future where evil robots controlled by the Wily Corporation enslave humanity. Roxy a double agent working for the Wily Corporation plans to help the federal government with Dr. Light by stealing secret intel from the company to shut down the robots with a computer virus. She is killed in a car chase by Wily's operatives and is revived by Dr. Light becoming an android.

I thought the same thing. Sonic also got a reboot not too long, so we can probably expect this Mega Man movie some years after this latest cartoon ran its course.

Big budget movies can't top fan made stuff for some reason when it comes to video game adaptions.

She plays the role of a robot boy. :p
He needs to hire more people in starring roles.

I don't even remember if I finished the whole thing. It was by the same people who did the Sonic fan film.

Of course! Did you not read the synopsis? :o

Not sure how I feel about this. An animated movie could work really well for Mega Man but live action? It just feels a little too cartoony for it to work.

I’d be down for that.

Which villains will they use is the important question. Cause I want to see this guy in live-action form; Plant Man!

Animated sounds preferable to me, but I could see it working. One advantage this has over Sonic is that Sonic is shown in contrast with our normal, everyday world, while this is set in the future and could be stylized. I kind of want them to go fully down the rabbit hole, with the glossy gemstone-looking Flash Man stage, Mega Man shooting robot tadpole eggs in a crystalline Gemini Man stage, the Gutsdozer...just go bat**** crazy with it.

But I guess more likely it'll end up some awkward, hobbled together thing that doesn't know what it wants to be. I just don't see a reason to write it off yet.

I know with the comic and video game art everybody is drawn in kind of a cutesy chibi style but the American 90s cartoon basically made them all more to scale.

I think a Mega Man movie could be cool. I wonder who would be Dr. Wily.
