Are there any good Megaman games for the GBA or DS? I love oldschool Megaman like Megaman 1, 2, and 3... But I'm not really sure about all the new kinds of Megaman, such as Megaman X, and all the newer incarnations. I'm sticking to the original.

I heard about a new game coming out for GBA featuring Megaman 1-5, but it's in development hell.. Anyone know anything about that?

I no Megaman expert, but I did a little research (thanks to bordem). There is the Megaman Zero series on the GBA. Those are the traditional 2-D platformers.
Mega Man Zero
Mega Man Zero 2
Mega Man Zero 3
Mega Man Zero 4

There is also Megaman Battle Network on the GBA. I had one of those. It was alright, but it plays like an RPG similar to Pokemon. It's interesting. I stopped playing it b/c there was one part I had to find this certain item an enemy drops and it was too tedious.

There are no Megaman games for the DS as of yet.

Thanks a lot for the reply. The Megaman Zero series is probably going to be my back up. They look kinda cool, but it looks like it's too anime/glitzed up for my liking. I just want an oldschool, traditional Megaman game for the Gameboy. PSP has a cool looking Megaman game in Megaman: Powered Up! but I'd never buy a PSP. :o

The Anniversary Collection for GBA is supposed to come out on June 14th, but nobody has much faith in that date because it's been delayed like 2 years. They said that they lost the code for the games because they were so old. So from what I've seen people are referring to it as the Duke Nukem: Forever of the Gameboy. :o

I think they are releasing Mega Man ZX or something like that for the DS. Looking forward to that.

I agree with you though, nothing beats the original 8. I wish we would get one more classic Mega Man game to close that series out, maybe a bridge to gap the Mega Man and MMX series.

That would rock.

Yeah, I know. Like Megaman X looks like too much for me, you know? I love the classic blue little pip squeek Megaman.. Not the one that's all Gundam'ed up, ya know?
