strangly some times it's very easy to interact socially. i think i'm good in certain situations when people are acting in certain ways. probably when they are in good moods and it's easily aparent tho. i don't like to fake things tho.

You're going to have to fake it the best you can. If you don't, people will assume that you're either mentally out of it or stupid. Either way, they won't give you the respect you deserve.

It doesn't mean that if you fake it, you're lying. It just means that you're adding something of value that people will notice. It won't solve the problems totally, because people will still notice that you're a little off, but it's better than being ignored.

I use to socialize completely normally all the time with plenty of people. I also listened to hip hop, hung out at random houses 24/7, and was getting average or lower than average grades in high school due to never studying or doing homework.

Then I completely flipped it around. I seem to not know the definition of balance. I also have a penchant for hating social patterns in behavoir, for some reason. I don't want to, but I hate it when anyone exemplifies any kind of convention of social interaction or anything. It's like I hate people unless they are 100 percent unique and self reliant. :(

He should wear a lobster bib from Red Lobster, that would explain things more clearly to people that come in contact with him.

You should read up on David Keirsey's psychological types. You may simply be able to think for yourself -- nothing more, nothing less.

i've been thinking about something i'm calling mental discrimination. this is the clasifying of certain personality traits as mental disorders. mostly i've been thinking of this because my doctor believes i have asperger syndrome. i'm open to the possibility that he's right. this would basically mean that i'm bad at following societal rules. since our societal rules of interaction seem arbitrary to me, is it really bad that i can't follow them so well. after all people can miss understand my behaviour as i their's, since it is unusual. i just happen to be in the minority.

Being social is all about giving others what they want to see and hear, not what you are truly thinking. Act the way they want you to act and say the things they want you to say. Being social is something most people pick up by just being around others, but for some it can be a task.

Just remember that it's just an act to help disarm and make those around you comfortable, because humans are weak and fearful animals and easily distrust or hate anything they do not understand.

i'm uncomfortable with the act often tho. and there's nothing like being uncomfortable to add to these problems.

seriously i think i'm just ****ed.

Then why were you suspecting "mental discrimination" in the opening post? Don't be an Adolf Quitler!

i'm a self hating aspherger syndrome having person. i'm aware of my own discrimination of myself tho.

this might be miss diagnosis tho. all the examples i've read people learn by rote and struggle with abstract concepts while i'm almost the opposite.

I frequently do this thing where I step myself out of reality and watch the world like I am imagining it all. I have to shake myself back into the world otherwise people will say stuff to me and I won't register it. I've done it since I was in second grade and I imagined that the playground didn't really exist.

that would have aided you in your carreer i'd assume tho.
