Merry Christmas and a Happy New Lounge

I liked the first Thor better than any of the Iron Mans. But I think Avengers and Winter Soldier are the best MC movies so far.

My top MCU films are in no particular order: Iron Man (1), TWS, GotG & Avengers. And I'm quite confident AoU will blow them all away. Thor (1) is easily best of the rest though. If Thor stuck to Asgard his films would be my favourite solos I'm sure.

In your shoe shining game, I did.
I'd like to win this once, mostly[BLACKOUT] to see if I will keep my word about not[/BLACKOUT] bragging with the award avatar I made after the 2012 awards.
Gotya.

And there is no Dark Hype Emperor Aziz without Shoe Shine Kid Aziz first. Got to work to get to the top!

I hope AOU is better than the first one. The Avengers is a good movie and I like it but I think AOU will be the better film. Hopefully Ultron isn't just cannon fodder like the majority of villains in the MCU.
Em I think it's the Avengers who are going to be cannon fodder this time around. Unless you mean Ultron's drones, and I hope they are at least tougher than the pathetic Chitauri.

For me it's:

1. Captain America: The Winter Solider
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. Captain America: The First Avenger
4. Avengers
5. Iron Man 3
6. Iron Man
7. Thor
8. The Incredible Hulk
9. Iron Man 2
10. Thor: The Dark World

TDW was dull for the most part and Iron Man 2 had two different films. (First half was a solid Iron Man film and the 2nd half was a set up for The Avengers).

I've seen all the MCU films except for Iron Man 2.

The Thor films are just disappointing. Not that anyone else would understand, they only see sexy hunky guy with a hammer fighting his equally sexy brother, some romance that is boring as all hell, and Katt Dennings be annoying filler for the human world that no one cares about.

When I watch the Thor movies....I see a handsome man with a hammer fighting a conniving bastard with a big smile, some pretty damn good action scenes with various monsters and armies, some romance that is cute, and Katt Dennings being funny and irreverant.

As I point out on here all the time......two people look at the same thing all the time, but they rarely see the same thing.

It suffered an untimely death. :(

My Marvel movie ranking:

1.) Iron Man 3 2.) Guardians of the Galaxy 3.) Thor

I don't think I've ever seen a 1st and 3rd film without seeing the one in between. Even it was said to be terrible I'd want to complete the experience.

I remember seeing the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie before the first one. I didn't get any of the references to the first one so it was boring for me. Plus, I've never been a huge fan of the pirate genre anyway.

Same here. Most times continuity matters. :(

The only times I can think of where I ever do anything out of order without having seen/read everything before including films, games, TV shows is with comedies as I catch them on cable randomly and comics because I don't usually own the entire back catalogue (except for Uncanny X-Men). :woot:

But the first one is the most pirate of the 4 films. How did you not watch that first?

I bit my tongue eating and now I have that nasty taste of blood in my mouth :cmad:

I like DMC but the 1st is most people's favourite I believe. I don't like 3 and 4 is a joke.

I got dragged into seeing the second one. It was on a whim. Plus I didn't pay for the ticket so it was a free movie. At least it was only my time that was wasted and not my money.

I like the 2nd one purely for Davy Jones. Get rid of everyone else and make the movie about him.
