Messageboard Games, Post Count Boosters or Inane Needless Threads?

Erzengel - I don't know what to take serious in your posts and what not to I'm afraid.
No-one can be that pompous lol.

Is the list of new names and formerly banned posters that large? If so fair do's, and I did say it seemed that way after only the first page.

I agree with the fundamental basis of the thread, under the venir of increasing elitism, you're right, what I don't like is the increasing intonation that most people who choose to post in less demanding threads are worth less or are ******ed somehow. There's often more to 'casual posting' than being lazy, (see my work excuse above).

Well I am pretty awesome, ask around.

What's the difference between casual and serious posting?

If I see a thread I like or someone say something stupid, I comment.

Heh, you know, they're not as bad as the threads being talked about here, but I almost feel the same way about all of the threads where someone feels driven to post a link to a horrible/shocking/unspeakably tragic/horrifying news story....because for 5 or 6 pages, (before I get there and actually spark a conversation), you get:

"This is horrible. :("

"How awful!"

"Dayum. :down"

"This is just terrible."

"OMG, worst thing ever."

"So sad. :("

"This is unbelievable. How could anyone do this?!"

"I feel so bad for *victim of unspeakable crime or tragedy*"

"Our prayers are with the families. :("

"That's terrible."

WOW...how illuminating, thought-provoking, entertaining, informative and worthwhile!

The story about the woman? who forced her 11 year old son to have sex with his father before cutting his head off and feeding his brains to his little sister and then filming her for a child pornography snuff film, and then showed it to the grandfather and he had a heart attack and died and then they lived with his corpse for 4 years while living off food they stole from orphans with AIDS ???

Yeah, it's really shocking, terrible and sad.
It is.
And we're not happy it happened.
We're not.

I agree.

It's so sad. I really feel for the posters when that happens.

Dear God, thank you for BaleDarkKnight_437, bless him and keep him safe.

I'm not talking about Survivor, Hype Idol or games of that nature.

I badmouth the Lounges but is there anything useful that can be learned from these threads?

And if you are taking entertainment from figuring out 5 letters into a sentence maybe you should reevaluate your priorities.

Or just tell me the truth, is it just a way to boost your post count?

There's not much useful that can be learned in 90% of the Hype! threads. Most are just fanboys debating why comics were better in their day whenever that may have been. Or why the movie version will never be as good as the comics.

As for the 5 letter game, I come to SHH to relax and have fun, not to debate issues like Politics and Religion, so I'd much rather post in that thread than any that deals with the previous two topics mentioned.

As for post count boosters, yeah some use it for that, but so what? This bothers you somehow? As for reevaluating priorities maybe you should do that yourself as a few harmless threads bother you to the point you had to make a thread to complain about them.

Waste of server space when you consider how this place crashes when anything Batman happens.

Is any thread that useful? No.

However, I just find that posting in a thread who's only purpose is to make 1 post that last 20,000 posts.

Which goes to my previous question, I'm still questioning how does relax and have fun vs. being stressed and worked up? I'm relaxed whenever I post, whether it' smaking a joke or rippng someone a new one. I have fun doing either.

As for post count boosters, yeah some use it for that, but so what? This bothers you somehow?
Just in the fact that those can participate in regular conversation and feel the need to boost their post counts because they want a 75 x 75 avatar now and now have to *gasp* wait for it.

As for reevaluating priorities maybe you should do that yourself as a few harmless threads bother you to the point you had to make a thread to complain about them.
Hahahahah.

*feelings caught*

He's kissing up cause I'm a judge and it works.

BODY BLOW!!!

Erzengel is right, all those sucky threads should be wiped.

As should the politics, celebrities and sports forums.

Then we need Captain America and Thor forums.

This Superhero Hype. Not Superhero plus boring stuff Hype.

I like the sports thread :csad: and at least the celebrities stuff is all self contained.

But considering the place always crashes when Batman says hi,- like I said- SHH would be more efficient if they scrapped all none Superhero forums.

Says the guy with over 40,000 posts. Because I'm totally sure that every single one of those posts were full of life-changing and enlightened prose. A thread addressing the "situation" is far more needless and inane than anything. :whatever:

It's a message board. Moving on.

Totally.

Every post, in every thread.

100% Awesomeness.
