It should bother you considering that by definition it is spam, and as a mod your job is to make sure all rules are followed and spam is very much against the rules.

Well, it's obviously there for really bored posters who want to feel like they are accomplishing something. Of course it boosts post count and that's obviously why you see so many people doing it, but how is it hurting you? With every empty post does it kill you inside? I'm failing to see where you are coming from with this. Are you angry about it or are you just curious? Because it's blatantly obvious they are post count boosters.

Uh yeah I read through it. And all it seems to do is say "oh we joined in 02 so we're the coolest" and anyone after that is just a n00b. It's really no different than saying look at my post count, it's bigger. Only you're saying "Look at my join date, I've been here longer, I'm popular" So yeah, I've looked through it.

Erz might as well start a thread titled "I've found a new way to put hype members down...and here's how.."
